  1. If you could get in DRC on the age you act... the wifey could totally get me in. Way to go TJ, you may have hooked your lifetime pass to go fishing... "Sorry dear, the girls want to go..." That is one heck of a monster 'bow. Congrats to your daughter!!!
  2. Fingernail polish? Wow Brian, that is sexy.
  3. Atta boy NoLuck! Take back your thread! I was down on St Patty's day with a couple of buddies and we caught fish, not many, but some. It was humbling, but I had a great day with my friends. That was all that really mattered. Catching 30 or 100 fish to me is just a bonus.
  4. I know jpeg and jpg work.
  5. Oh! Please share! Download the pic to your desktop and then post using the select a file option below the text box (browse to your desktop and select the file, make sure to use the correct file extension, and click the green upload button) for your new post. I think if its over 2MB, then it won't take. You'll have to resize it in Photoshop or some other program. I'm sure your ten year old knows how to do it. Kids and their 'puter skills these days make me feel stupid. If you still can't get it to post, PM me and I'll give you my email address and I can resize it and send it back to you, or post it for you. Glad the girls and Pops had a great time! Sounds like you have fishing buddies for life!!!
  6. and the rant last week about "what could have been" was excellent. I bet you felt so much better after that. Everyone has been there at some point, just needing to vent. I have never fished with you but you did hook me up with one helluva guide and I appreciate that immensely. Keep the info coming Bill.
  7. Down over the weekend?!?!?! That's weird, my phone didn't ring.
  8. You're absolutely insane if you DON'T!!! and you're legal....
  9. Thanks for the report Bman. Glad you guys got into some. You really should try and get out more.
  10. The smile/smirk (like take some of that dad!) on that young man's face says it all.... thanks for sharing with us. Great pics and sounds like one heck of a good time.
  11. Bob, post your questions in the Table Rock Lake forum and I'm sure you'll get a quick and educated response from at least a few of the fellas....
  12. Zach, good to hear from you, FINALLY. I had sent BuckNasty a PM about a month after his post about you to see how you were. I got no answer. Didn't know what to think. Well, now I got my answer - from you. Keep the attitude kickin and you'll be just fine. As everyone else said, whenever I'm down your way, I'll give ya holler. Until you get out again, we'll keep the fish porn coming your way. Peace.
  13. Pistols at dawn?
  14. Hey! I tagged you the "EVIL Brownieman"! Gotta protect my "street cred" ya know.
  15. If I'm not mistaken, a Cheney anchor is what the former VP of the US used to sink bodies of his hunting buddies....
  16. Nice BM! Waaaay nice. I am especially glad to see you getting out quite often...
  17. Don, I feel your pain brother. I too have a score to settle at Crane. The place sure is pretty though. I'll be down that way soon.
  18. So MC, that's 2 trophies in what 3 months? I think I like your most recent catch the best though. Just messin DD.
  19. and its March 6th! Diggin it!!! Have a good weekend y'all....
  20. The day before I turned 30 waaaay back in July of 2000. I caught my first brown trout, EVER. Out of the front of my buddy Hippie Tim's canoe - on a dry fly(black ant). 24" and some change. It was killer! Here's some shots I finally got around to scanning... sorry about the quality, but hey, there was a hippie behind the lens. We had deer tenderloin over the campfire that evening to celebrate. I guess Friday the 13th ain't so bad after all....
  21. Kyle, Cardiac is a good access, I covered it and Suicide a couple days ago under the Meramec Springs thread. We usually fish from the access down stream to the cabin hole and sometimes a little farther. Then, depending on time, sometimes we will wade all the way to Suicide, but the wade/walk back is a PIA. FFM nailed to flow to wading friendly ratio - looks like it should be good. TFM was dead on with flies to use. I would add olive woolies and olive micro jigs(under a float) to his suggestions as well. My buddy Sherwood hooks a few bass everytime we go on woolies. Also, never be afraid to throw something new, if they've never seen it, it may just be the ticket. Brownie, you are EVIL for suggesting that I take a day off work to go fishing - I have never done that. Here's a map, if you have any more questions, I'll be glad to try and answer them.
  22. When Turkey season starts, its usually less crowded in the morn and the evening.... the afternoons get a little busy. Just my observation.
  23. to CK: Sissy! Sorry Wormser, you can have your thread back.... didn't mean to hijack it. Have a great trip and let us all know how you do - take pics! Also, if you're the first one down Cardiac, the wildlife if sometimes excellent. I can't find my photo of a fawn crossing the stream behind us not 10 minutes after we started to wade.... I'll look for it though.
  24. CK, actually, the last pic was after we had been down Cardiac, fished, then went back up Cardiac, drove to Suicide, I looked down the cliff, and decided I needed a little"liquid courage" before we climbed down. In hind sight, I probably would have been better off wet wading at Suicide like I did at Cardiac.... the less weight the better on the climb (there's NO walking) back up at Suicide. Think you're man enough? Say the word!
  25. Like my friend Brownie said, there's not that much distance between the two. Caridiac is a "hill" and a very long hill after wading the river all day. The trip down is pretty much cake. Suicide is more like rock climbing with waders on while carrying a fly rod. Also, if the water is up at all getting across the river at the bottom of Suicide can be a bit hairy. Pack light and smart. I suggest a Camelback and a small snack (bag of jerky or whatever) at either access. You don't want to have to go back to your ride for anything until you are done fishing. Here's some Suicide pics.... (photos courtesy of Sherwood Flycaster, featuring yours truly)
