  1. Fished out of Big M on Sat. from 7-2:30. Caught 6 fish total, one keeper, one keeper crappie. Fished from Big M up to Devils Dive, back of some creeks, down to Cedar Creek. Caught keeper on black buzz in back of a finger in a creek, all others came on spinner. Pretty tough for me. Water temp was 56-63 depending on where I was at. Worst fall fishing I have had in a while.
  2. Has there been a post on the directions to getting this done? Thanks
  3. Well don't know where 7mm is, water temp was around 67 from the Glaize to 6 miles up the Osage. Turning over in some parts, crystal clear down by the dam, so I was told. Probably 3ft visibility in the area we fished.
  4. Took my son and another boy to the Fall Classic at Lake of the Ozarks over the weekend. The fishing was just bad. In two days caught probably 10 fish. Just happened to catch two good ones on tournament day that weighted seven and half pounds. Good enough for 5th place and a nice scholarship for each of the boys. Even with fishing so bad, those two were hooked for life when they heard their names called. Just wanted pass on the info as a proud dad.

    Oil ?

Picked up quicksilver premium plus synthetic blend by accident. Can I use it in my 2011 pro xs?
  6. Had a good time, plan on being back on Oct. 11th. See you then.
  7. Fished the same tourney as Sprint. Had one 4 lb. on a blade early. After that it was pretty much over. Caught maybe 7-8 for the day.
  8. These fish are in pockets, from what I have found smaller rock type of pockets, gravel best, later in the day as you can guess, need a little structure such as wood or shade. Try some plastics also that make a commotion.
  9. Alex Don't feel like you have to run up river to get bit, and there has been no square bill bite. Don't know why.

    Big M

Fished from 6:30-3:00 had 6 keepers 5 blacks 1 spot all caught in 3 ft or less of water on buzzers caught them all day, probably only caught 15-20 but pretty good for July and that shallow. Water temp was 82-84 I will say that I also ran way up Kings but did not matter where I stopped caught them in dirty water and clear. Hope this helps you out a little.
  11. Put my boat in Sat. and when the trailer hit the water, there was smoke off a wheel, like it was hot, got home and it felt fine to the touch. Any ideas? Thanks
  12. Put in at Cape Fair at 7 fished til 3:30, caught plenty of fish, around 40 or so, about 8 keepers, biggest was 3 lb. Caught them on wacky rig, square bill, spinner, floating worm, wobble head, jerkbait (several on it, most keepers came on it) and a carolina rig, saw a few on bed not many though, probably bout over there. Water temp. was 70-75.
  13. Fished all day Sunday top the tune of 10 keepers. Several shorts, all were caught basically the same way I have been catching them for the last several weeks. Still in trees and mostly on chunk rock or bluff style banks. So don't know if it is the tail end or what, seems like it, most all I cleaned were females. Good luck when you go.
  14. LOL on the Shriners, lots of them out there, but most of them seemed pretty reserved.
  15. Fished from 7-3, had 14 keeper crappie, none of which were on the bank all off trees in 12-15 fow. Not sure if they are spawning in those trees or not. Biggest fish I had had eggs coming out, she was in 12 fow. Very strange year, don't know if they will go to the bank. 12 of 14 were females. Did a little bass fishing, not very good results, water cleared up but saw mo beds in the coves we fished.
  16. chartteuse and white with colorado blades
  17. Fished for crappie and bass today in the Kings, crappie were tough, but did get 22 of them all off of wood, angled was better than vertical. Bass were good all on spinnerbait, don't know how many, it was a lot. Lot of short crappie and I mean a lot. Water temp. was mid 60's. Good luck when you get to go. Lot of boats out there today.
  18. Thanks Bill need a little help with the hds7 never had one this new.
  19. Fished today out of Big M ran to Rock and Roaring River looking for crappie several short and one keeper. One keeper largemouth on stick. Ran to Kings caught several more short crappie and 2 more keeps Lu's several bass on blade with 2 keeps. Got my new boat Friday been 5 years without one so nice to get another one. If you see a black and yellow Stratos 202 Elite stop by.
  20. Well as I stated earlier, we did not catch them on every bank, and one thing I forgot to mention I fished the jerk slow, much slower than I like, but slow none the less. Let me say slow for me is counting to 7, so that may put it in perspective. If we got over half way back in large pocket, no bites at all, most came outer half to main creek side. Caught a lot with no wood around, big one however did come off of wood. One more thing, having Bryant run the boat and chauffeur me around made it easy for me, he is very knowledgeable.
  21. Jay My father in law was up there yesterday, crappie fishing, said same thing, 50-51 and he was in same areas as you were.
  22. i threw a rogue most all day with a turquoise back and white belly, ugliest thing I had in my tackle box, but seemed like the white belly was the deal. Threw a McStick in green shad don't really know what the color is called. But it had a greenish back with chrome sides and I only caught one on it. I had a tackle box full of lucky craft and Excalibur's, caught them on the cheapest one in my tackle box. Go figure. I will say I have caught more on a rogue than any other over the years. Probably because that is all I bought when I first started. Sorry to ramble good luck when you get to go.
  23. It was clearing not dingy some debris floating but no real color. Kind of a milkish look. Still had good water color on down where we jerkbaited, still had 2-3 ft. visibility. Wind sure helped today as it usually does when your jerkin'.
  24. Fished with my good friend Bryant Ward, headed over to Little Indian, went all the way back to flowing water, nothing. Worked our way out threw a wart caught one short. Put the jerk bait into action after that, fishing points working both sides in and out. Caught about 25 or so, 4 keepers, one in the 6 lb. range and another around 4 lb. The other 2 were good keepers17-18 inch. Water temp was 47-49. Did catch some in Big Indain later in the day all shorts. Big one came at noon. Some banks nada, others you might catch 6-7 in a short stretch. All in all a great day with a great person and friend. Oh, we caught 2 crappie on the jerk, and I mean hogs both in th 14 in. range and thick. Nice surprise, they were returned. Hope this helps.
  25. I will go high, little under or over 82. Banking on a warming trend going into competition.
