  1. what do you guys use as a trolling setup? what kind or rods are you using? do you use any weight to get the bait down or just feed out alot of line and let if dive on its own? Very new to the whole trolling thing but would like to give it a try.
  2. boat is sold. thanks
  3. Has it cleared after the big rain we had on Thursday or is it still muddy? I see on the guage that it came up a foot or so but is dropping. Hopefully it's clearing up.
  4. width is 50". Its a very sharp boat, as close to brand new as a used boat can get
  5. I love fishing the ponca/steel creek section. Good numbers of fish, although I have never caught one over 16" out of that area. The scenery more than makes up for it and its a grea place for a summertime wade trip.
  6. Got mine today as well. The jig heads look real good, going to try them out tomorrow.
  7. Waders arent needed. There is a boardwalk that goes right down a good chunk of the creek. It's a small creek, 20 or sofeet across most places
  8. It's a pocket I little clifty
  9. Karens Taxidermy. She has done a few fish for me in the past and they look amazing. she has won several awards for her work and does an amazing job. her shop is out in the woods near war eagle mill but her work is worth the drive. Super nice lady as well 479-925-1231 is her number and i believe her website is karenstaxidermy.com
  10. Could the reason we are seeing so much water on the white be due to low DO levels and not minimum flow. Thats what i have heard but at 7 megawatts and 650 CFS the water is not difficult at all to wade and 6-7 inches more water on the chart (yes i know how to read the chart well)
  11. jonbo, the minimum flow only brings the water up maybe 6 inches. There is all kinds of wadeable water at that level. When John Berry says there is little to no wadeable water its because there are running a unit or more most of the time. If you check the generation chart, minimum flow shows at 680 CFS and 7 megawatts of electricity on the chart. 1 generator is around 35 megawatts and 2,500 -3,000 CFS, you can wade on that but your spots are mor limited. If you are staying at his place, you can wade all over the place on minimum flow but on 1 unit it makes it tougher. If they are running minimum flow, you can wade all the way down to the cotter access from his place. Just cross the river at the shoal in front of his place and fish your way down under the first bridge and hop on that first island on your right and fish around it then wade down a few hundred yards and cross again in waist deep water and fish down to the next island on your left and then just pass that is cotter access. More water in that stretch than you can fish in a year but keep an eye on water levels and check the water release chart. If they are running 1 unit i wouldnt wade fish that but at minimum flow or no flow at all, its the most fun you will ever have. swing small streamers and fish midges and san juan worms and you will catch all you want to and then some
  12. no way in the world you can operate a boat in low water above the 62 bridge. the shoal just downstream of the bridge is SKINNY and is 2-4 inches deep in most spots. Also the shoal just above the bridge is even skinnier and the one at spider creek would be a prop eater for sure. Bring waders and launch at Housemans and motor up to that shoal below the bridge and hop out and wade fish. There is some good water but nothing a boat can get to on dead low water
  13. are they doing bank work on Norfork just during the week or are they also working on weekends as well? May head down this weekend if it wont be a mudhole there. Does anyone have any info on that?
  14. ramp at the darn is closed till the gov't opens back up. Bentrad ramp and housemans are both open
  15. they are good for bass and panfish. Lake Ann is the biggest of the ones you mention and has good fishing for bass. Windsor is also a good bass lake with some really nice largemouth in it. They all have ramps for you to put a boat in, if I remember correctly Brittany has a small ramp that would be tough to launch a large boat on
  16. and if you go to norfork be watchful for rising water. If you are a noob to the white and norfork and that water comes on (especially at norfork), you can get in a bad situation real fast. You got some really good advice above on places and flies to use. Regardless of which river you fish, take your cell phone and call the powerhouse to check the current generation 870-431-5311. I hate taking my cell phone when i fish but i never ever go to norfork without it.
  17. Just don't use your drag chain on Norfork... they are illegal.
  18. waded the min flow yesterday at cotter. it was 650CFS according to the website. I really liked it, nice flow all the way through and it really wasnt any harder to wade than previous dead low. There is a nice flow now in water that was real slow and unproductive at dead low, and the fish are there now. Going to be a great thing for the river as a whole. I wet waded all over the river yesterday and only once got "balls deep", I was thinking it would be a much more difficult wade (and im sure in some places it is) but I was really suprised how easy I could get around.
  19. What guide service did you go out with? I have looked into going to Pesca Maya lodge but always curious about what guides people used and how they found them
  20. you might call hook line and sinker tackle shop in Rogers, AR (479) 631-8118 . Aaron Joliff who runs the place is a topwater dealer and used to sell supremes, he can get you a price on a new one or probably knows someone who has a used one for sale (he has had several used riverboats for sale at the shop in the past year). I bought a new topwater from him back in Novemeber and his price was cheaper than alot of 2 year old used river boats i had been looking at, he is also a class act and they have great customer service. Also might call Bull Shoals boat dock, they sell Supreme and Topwater and normally have a few used ones on thier lot also.
  21. River is high. Table rock is backed up into it about 4 feet. There is no current but wade fishing will be tough with the amount of water backed up from table rock.
  22. I always use my 7wt when I bonefish Great Exuma in the Bahamas, in my opinion a 7wt is the perfect bone rod. 8 wt is just a little to heavy for my liking but if the wind kicks up its handy to have. You should be just fine with your 7wt as long as the wind isnt blowing 30mph and you have good bonefish or redfish flyline on it to help it load correctly. If you plan to catch a barracuda, you need an 8 or a 9wt. I highly recommend you keep a cudda rod handy because they are a blast to catch and jump like crazy
