Bill, you are right, with a little knowledge, the information gladly provided on this forum by you and others will help formulate a plan as to where and what to fish, Thanks to you and others for your dedication to the sport of fishing. Next time I see you I would like to shake your hand. A comedian once said "you can't fix stupid" That was for the calls while you were working keep up the good work.

  5. am fishing a Heartland team tourney on Truman the last of May, never been to the lake, Whay can i expect as far as water color, cover, dock pattern ,shore pattern, deep or shallow, going to this one blind so far. Any information wil be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. Can't agree more Bill my partner an I eaked out a little over 17 pounds for a 10 th place finish seems like always one person in the boat is on fish. Boat control was an extremly large part of the puzzle and Tom did an excellent job never knocked my hat off once. all fish we caught were shallow and in amongst the trees and brush all our fish were on spinnerbaits threw the jig some but always went back to the blade.
  7. Never mind I found em they are in my back yard some ar eating from the purple martin house and others are donig laps around thw bbq hahahah ah aha ahahahahahhhah
  8. We have fished the lake over,since last Friday, up the White, baxter ,Aunts creek,Kimberling and points between. Caught nice fish all week throwing a blade,Yesterday went up the White and worked hard for a limit albeit a small one around 10 pounds, Fishing dropped of on Monday. what changed was it the approaching weather the slight drop in the lake level was thinking of pitching a tube in some of our better spots a lil help if you please. Did win a Bass club tournament on Sat Sunday, paper tournament marked 7 fish on Sat and 6 nicer fish on Sunday, . Have three more derbys on the rock in the next month so will be here looking a lot and beating the water in search of that elusive limit. Thanks to all for the great information posted here will share what we find in the coming days.
  9. Bill, Thanks for the heads up. I am fishing the Heaartland team derby next Saturday and again later in the month and rely a lot on info gathered here as a place to begin, keep up the excellent information you and the other posters provide capt mac
  10. Whatever you decide to do be very careful on the water lots of debris and some of it with an appetite for lower units and boat hulls. good info so far as to what baits and techniques to use in the cold dirty water. be safe

  14. Fished the Campbell point area Wednesday from bridge to big creek, found monster schools of shad and some die off in main lake pockets and coves did th jerk bait jig and finness stuff but no luck. Got to spend the day fishing with my best friend so the day was far from wasted

  21. As I always have 2 cents to contribute,I have used shad rac resort at cape fair, clean well run and reasonable, Kings harbour at shell knob good access to white and kings river another well run nice place to stay enjoy the lake where ever you stay.

  24. My choices would be, a black and silver spook, a drop shot rig and a spinnerbait. favorite color in plastics is watermelon red and a chartruse and blue skirt on th blade. be interesting to see if there is a consenses
