After living in central Calif. for over 50 years, the Mexican food in Mo. rates way down on the list. Kind of like the commercial about, He gets his salsa from New York City. Have tried almost all of the places in Springfield I would rather go to Taco Bell. Salsa in Mo. must be made mostly of catchup. Have to order what the cook eats [non gringo salsa] They must have an agreement no reel Mexican food is allowed pass Texas. One thing I have noticed there is a Chinese buffet on almost every corner. Not much there either.
Has anyone had Basque food. If you are ever in Bakersfield, CA give it a try.
Also does anyone In SW MO. know anything about a hot pastrami sandwich? Never been able to find anyone who makes them.
