I was out fishing last night on the creek that connects Simpson Park and the Meramec river, I know that there are signs posted on the north side of the bridge declaring that that is a park boundry but there isn't any on the south side of the bridge, so I thought I was in the right to fish there but I guesse I was wrong because i got a ticket for trespassing. Anyone else have this prblem, and if so what kind of fine am I looking at for something like this.

Hey Kux I talked to my little brother last night unfortunatly he is have comp problem so he couldn't get on last night so I grill him for info is he is what he had to say, "The upper Kinni SUCKED" he has fished a couple of times up there and did well but said the uppper portion is full of silt right now but will clear out as the season progresses he said there is no camping in the area but you can camp on the Willow River. He also said there is a couple places down stream that he is going to check out later in the week. The fly selection he uses in July are small trico's, sparkle dunns, pink squirels, and a few other nymp patterns, once he gets his comp working he is going to start post fishing reports here.

Ok now to fly patterns for October, I like to take a good selection of Caddis flies size 14-18, wooley bugger I do very well on white or black, and thread jigs white on white, or black head white body, zebra midges, and you can't forget mohair leaches tan or brown size 10. By the way jonboy I will be down there this weekend for my bachelor party probably start sat at or near the spring look me up I will have a white Lacoste visor.

Anyone Fished The Tan Vat Area Lately?
TroutFearMe replied to OKFlyFisher44's topic in Current River
Now I was going to jump in on this but I really couldn't come up with any kind words to speak of maybe thats a good thing. P.S. don't get upset because Potter found away to make money doing what he loves doing, but you forgot to mention the other guides that work in that section of the river infact I have even thought about giving it a shot myself. -
Hey Fishn8r I feel you pain, I have a friend in town that wants to learn how to catch trout. My best advice for if the are spin fishing would be to use Trout Magnets with a little bit of green Power bait on the hooks does very good first thing, after the morning rush I usually have good luck with marabou jig in white. If you want a little help out I will be down at the park first thing in the morning I will either be in a big Cowboy hat or a white visor look me up.

Need Help Deciding On Something...
TroutFearMe replied to zander's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
Da** if I owned a boat I would pay you whatever to have that. -
Stayed at Eagles Park in May and all I have to say, it was an experiance. I typically stay in the park but decided to give it a shot, lets just say if I go by myself this place will be my first choice, it not the ritz carlton but it did serve it's purpose for fishing Tan Vat. VERY CHEAP to stay also

Need A Little Help Picking Out New Waders
TroutFearMe replied to TroutFearMe's topic in General Flyfishing Topics
Hey thanks everyone for there feed back I guess I knew the answer before I posted. -
Okay so here is the deal for the past five years of fishing for trout in Missouri I have amassed three pairs of of BPS wagers ranging form hip boots to 3mm neoprean waders, with my birthday fast approaching my future wife has signed off on another pair waders in hopes these will be the last I have to buy for several years. I am currently looking at higher end waders with the idea of heading to Co or some where out west to work in the guide biz, and right now I am leaning towards the Simms G3's what does everyone else think, I fish very hard in some of the worst places to access trout and I want something that is going to be able to take a beating. Any and all advise would be greatly helpful.

Hey they look pretty cool, have you tested them out, how could I get my hands on a couple to try out.

So I just recieved this month issue of F&S and there is an articul about the Moffit Fishing System. Has anyone tried this or a similer style of fishing here in Mo. To me it lookes like they use a pegging rig like they use in AK when they fish with beads for Stealhead.

White River Fly Box
TroutFearMe replied to booger90's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
The $6.00 BPS boxes don't have the rubber gasket like the more exspensive boxes have and that why they would fill up. I have taken a swim every once in while. -
I just tied one and put it in my experimental box for next weekend at Montauk I will let everyone know how it did.

Heres an idea I know it wouldn't help now but something to look at in the future, this would appeal to everyone and I think I have seen this mentioned once before. The trout parks should start alternating between catch and keep, and catch and release and do this on a yearly cycle. I know the parks are intended for put and take but in these times were people are catching fewer fish, I think the bait chuckers and everyone else that goes to fill there freezer should cut back on how many they keep or practice selective harvest. If MDC plans on stocking fewer fish they should adjust the length limits that people can keep or adjust the amount of (trout) fisherman can keep. Just my 2 cents worth sorry for hijacking the thread for a rant.

White River Fly Box
TroutFearMe replied to booger90's topic in Tips & Tricks, Boat Help and Product Review
I have used the 5.99 BPS fly boxes and the filled with water everytime I upgraded to the SA boxes and love them wish I would have waited a year later and baught the new SA boxes that just came out. -
I would have to second the opinion on T. Hargroves, everyone there is so friendly and helpful Tom is the owner and Craig I think is biz partner and they have a new guy there by the name of Chris they have always been helpful and your always greeted with a smile and a cup of coffee. I personaly would just pass Feather Crafters up unless your ready to spend a few hundred dollers they really aren't so eager about helping out its a shame Ed Story passed away ever since his son Bob took over the whole attitude in the store has changed. As for the fishing I try to avoid Meremec Spring park unless your looking to fill your freezer, I tend to fish a spot called Cardiac Hill wich is about an hour and a half drive from STL, but the fishing at Montauk is great if you want to fish in a park. The Current river is really nice in the spring and fall for trout fishing, as for all the other fish you enjoy chasing I don't have a clue except Busch Wildlife.

I guess my question was missleading bman, what I was wanting to know has anyone fished it since opening day there has been a great silence about fishing reports since opening day thats all. Any reportwould be good even if you guys fish it and get skunked let us know what didn't work.
