how 'bout a light coating of womans nail polish?

plastic can't cut you as bad as glass. we were on the current last year and this group of guys floated by and as they finished a beer (in a glass bottle) they pitched it to shore into the weeds.

filled up in st. louis last friday(may 04) on my way to truman lake. $3.19 per gallon. stopped in sadalia to get gas at the wal-mart the same evening $2.75 per gallon. gas along the way to and from truman $2.89 per gal. what a shame.

why would the oil companies want to build new refineries in order to bring gas prices down?? they're happy making billions in record profits~~keep the demand HIGH and the supply LOW. we'll show the american people that OIL COMPANIES RULE !!!

wholesale gas dropped $.25 this week,oil dropped, gas at the pump rose over $.40 last week and now that oil and gas (wholesale) are down they jack up the gas price today another $.28. the oil companiew don't want any new refineries. watch the oil companies financial report at the end of june. OIL COMPANIES REPORT RECORD PROFITS~~ANOTHER 15 BILLION THIS QUARTER. what ashame.

one of the other sites i communicate with was talking about this same subject awhile back and several people said that the corp. or water patrol couldn't do anything about fishing within so-many feet of the dock so the dock owner had to call the sheriff and let him deal with the problem. seems to me that they were issued a ticket but i don't think it held up in court. osage bluff aon truman lake is no fishing within 50ft. of the dock. good luck guys.

wonder why oil companies are amoung the few that in the hard times can keep raising their prices and very, very seldom have a bad year. instead they are making billions more than they use to at americas expense. it just isn't right. maybe i'll go to my boss tomorrow and tell them i need a raise cause i'm going out of town on a trip and i MIGHT have some car trouble so i need the extra cash. oil companies do it with the governments blessing! we have had over 30 years to come up with alternative fuel when nixon was in office, and the oil companies would not let it happen. this is " BS "

everytime i'm on the hi-way and there is some moron driving under the limit in the left lane, or tailgating me and i want to run them off the road or slam on my brakes my wife politly reminds me that "TODAY I'M NOT THE ROAD WARRDEN', and that they are not out just to PI%$ me off. so i just slow down, get into the other lane and let my blood pressure go back to normal. come to think of it i haven't been the road warrden since i married her. RATS!

no sir mr. sloss; sorry if i gave that impression. went back and re-read my post and i didn't get that impression that guns were ok in the class room. how obsurd!! i'll just leave it at that.

mr sloss; you say you don't want everyone carring a gun in a mall or class room~~who do you think is carring the guns??? not law abiding people, it's the criminals. not the person who has respect for others, and has a meaningful relationship with their family. it's the criminals who carry guns. if i want a gun i've got to go and purchase it and go through the process, not the criminal. they go downtown to the corner lay out some money from who knows where they got it and~~walla~~they have a gun in 2 minutes. most law abiding people don't pack guns but you can but the criminal sure do.

mr. beeson; your post of sitting in your yard and waving to "neighbors" as they pass is very true. i live in a subdivision of 125 homes and when i'm in the front i wave to passer-bys and say hi to people walking thru the sub. and very seldom get an enthusiastic response. i've had a few over the years stop and ask why i just flipped them off. it seems to me alot of people have negativeism and look for the worse in people. not all just some. in our sub. you don't see very many kids playing out side or anyone riding a bike anymore. everyone stays inside and plays on the computer. like someone else on here said, when we were growing up we would go outside and play until the street light came on. you don't see any more kids playing ball in the corner lot, or playing "hot box". just computer games. most parent don't make time to spend with their kids. when you go fishing, how many kids do you see in the boat with an adult? not very many. most times there are 2,3 or 4 guys in a boat drinking beer and having a good 'ol time~~where are the kids? enough, just thought it was strange you mentioned sitting in your front yard as i was also thinking the same and talking to my wife about it just this week. god bless.

i agree with you.look what they did with house bill 778~~doubled the amount we now have to pay for our 3 year boat tag. it seems that the more they have to spend the more they want.

sorry but i don't. went to stockton lake this year and hired a guide to show us how to fish for walleye but the weather was so bad with rain and 3-4ft. waves we didn't get a chance to fish. from everything i've read a slow retrieve close to the bottom produces results. good luck my friend.

better check the regulations about fishing for walleye after dark. there is some time spand that you can't. not sure what that is though.

what were you catching in the mutton creek area?

i'm not a bass fisherman but our first boat was bass tracker III we purchased in 1982. had a merc 50hp. kept it for 20 years fished truman, mark twain, wap., and a few others and NEVER had a leak or popped rivet. the boat was great. purchased it for $5,000 in '82 and sold it '03 for $4000. never had any problems except the normal pump going out after 10 years. the boat never leaked a drop. '03 i purchased the tracker tv18-duel console-115hp 4 stroke EFI and we love it. rides great in rough water, alum. prop i'll get 50mph--SS prop i get +/- 46mph. 18 months after we had it the finish started coming off. called the fishin hole and told them and they sent it back to be fixed, no questions asked. while being reparied someone stole my $500.00 SS prop. told the fishin hole about it and they cut me a check for $500 to replace it. even though john isn't there any more--place is now owned by bass pro shop--i've never had any trouble with them. my wife and i love our TV18. the only thing i don't like about it is i think the trolling motor is way under powered for that boat. it's only 54lbs. which i think is the biggest 12volt you can get. but i'd sure get a larger(75-80lb) trolling motor. my opinion. good luck

since it doesn't take that long to smoke trout i don't take the time to fire up my weber. i have a smoker box about 9" x 4" i fill 1/2 way with maple sticks or hickory chips and that does a great job. by the time you fire up the weber and the coals get ready you could be done on a gas grill. i put foil on the grates, put the trout on the foil belly side up, put butter,a few sleces of lemon(or lemon pepper) and cook them till they're done the way you like them. good luck.

fishin: i've got a eagle 480 and it also did the same thing~~at speeds over 40 it would give me false readings i contacted the mfg. and they were no help. finally i looked at the transducer and found out it was NOT secure, that when i hit higher speeds it would move and give me false readings. i tighten the bolts after making sure it was level and i haven't had any problems with it since. at my top speed of 50mph it gives the correct readings. hope that helps. good luck. bojack
