  1. Back in 08 I caught a 8 Lb LM right by a Telephone pole. Kind of interesting fishing somebodys back yard...
  2. This is a fun tournament to fish, My partner and I will be there.. Now if could just catch some keepers..
  3. Aunts creek is the best ramp, mill creek, Indian point, State park, all good ramps. Use to put in at Kimberling City, Whats up doc or whatever they call it now, but when they closed the west ramp took away to many parking spots and other side to steep, plus dealing with a gate bar that only works if you pay 5 bucks for and only works half the time, pain in the as.... Loved to go back to 1970 when ramps were free all over..
  4. Talking about loons how about seagulls also. It is like they just take there time getting out of your way. Had one buss me last week,I was running about 45 came upon a group of gulls instead of going left or right it went stright up and just missed my head by a inch. Think I will put on my helmet from now on..
  5. Anyone know if the Mo lakes bass Club will be having there benefit bass tournament this year?? It was always on the first Sat in may on Table Rock going out of Kimberling City. I have not recevied a entry form yet or did it go under.. Thanks
  6. Mike bender out of willard, did a great job working on my merc at center city..
  7. Anyone know if the Mo lakes Bass club will be having there benefit bass tournament, it has always been first sat in may at port of kimberling on Table Rock?? I have fished it 20 years in a row, just like to know if it will be back this year.. Thanks
  8. Everybody fighting around x mass. I have been on both sides of this story, just find a happy medium. I fish march - june, then I take my family ski and tube rest of summer. As for the big boats head up to cape fair or down to Holiday Island or just pick the best days.I have owned everthing from ski boats to jet skis to bass boats, Just try to get along.. PS- If you would stay off point 10 I would be grateful-ha ha
  9. Say no to pro guides, one year and done for me on trolling motor batts. Going with delco batts now..
  10. You will shoot your eye out kid.
  11. With school out on tues for my 17 year old daughter, took her fishing. Drop the boat in at Aunts creek, first half hour she caught a three pounder on a jerk worm , made my day. We did catch some good number yesterday, blade, grub, worm. I do like that cloud cover..
  12. 71.5 water temp yesterday at aunts creek. High skys hard to catch fish for me. Only 2 shorts..
  13. I Put in at Aunts Creek yesterday, rounded the corner past pt 10. Thought I saw a large school of white bass busting shad on top, as I got closer I found out it was huge school of long nose gar just ripping in to the shad, right in the middle of the lake. I have seen Long nose gar before just never seen them attack a school of shad like that. I never did hook one, but did have a few chase my grub..
  14. I thought you were talking about the fishing lure. I have seen lots of those in trees, just hanging there.Ha Ha
  15. Is the KVD big bass classic this weekend? Hope everybody is safe on the water. Table Rock looked like Lake of Ozarks last weekend. The memorial day crowd was out in full force. I was out there myself, put in at aunts went to eagle rock, thought we would never make it back. With the heat index and big boat season open should make for a interesting tournament???
  16. Big time trouble with moss, Wiggle wart comes back just caked in moss. Even throwing the grub I still get moss.. Goes back to my high sky problem, I do much better with clouds and rain. I don't mind throwing the spinnerbait, keep it just above the moss....
  17. Was down at aunts creek yesterday, caught a few. I sure do much better with wind and rain, THe high skys just kills my blade fishing. WE did catch a few on the grub but no size. I always catch my bigger bass on a blade or crankbait with cloud cover. Anyone else have this problem..HIGH skys makes for a nice boat ride, but is not good for my fishing.. There was a boat on all points sat at aunts creek, I might have to start putting in at baxter to get away from the crowd..
  18. Glad now I pull boat down and back and park in garage.. THats is a lot of money for a stall, I guess. looks like they went from the outhouse to penthouse.Sorry to here you can;t fish from boat in stall. I used to catch lots of whites and crappie doing that.. I had a stall for about 2 years back in the 1978 era, never again to much trouble, to much trouble draging tackle and rods back & forth,Plus somebody with sticky fingers made off with my trailer tires parked top of hill.
  19. Wed were done at cape fair yesterday, First time in several years. THe boat docks look awesome, never new it was so nice. Also the west ramp was in good shape to. I keep my boat there in a stall back in the 78-80 years.. sure does look nice now... PS- fishing was great also we left before the rain hit, had a great time with my daughter. even if she did lose three of my best baits...
  20. I am still looking for a entry form for this tournament.. Anyone know whats up with the entry forms.. Only 6 weeks before the tournament and no entry forms yet. Does anyone know where we can pick up a entry Form. I looked at BPS and Fin-Feather no help....
  21. I sure do miss the old Fish-Tales tournaments. I fished with my daughter for 2 years, liked the way they were run adult vs adult kid vs kid. Made for a lot of fun.. Very few kids tournaments left..
  22. Any talk about the Mo lakes bass club having there May benefit bass tournament on Table rock?? I still have not received a entry form yet. Just like to know if they will be having it or not.. Last year I receive the entry form middle of Feb, nothing yet so far.. Thanks.
  23. Was just thinking about Table Rock, not a lot of Benefit tournaments anymore. Compared to the 1980-1990...
  24. Do you think benefit bass tournaments are a thing of the past? Back 10-15 years ago there were lots of tournaments to pick from, I am not talking Central Pro am or Heartland. Just benefit tournaments were you pay your money go fish and have fun hope to place and mabey get a draw prize. Back in 1981 or so I fished several tournaments with 250 to 300 hundred boats. Always went to the boat shows and found entry forms all over, no more. I guess the benefit tours went out, just like the 8-track player.. Thanks
  25. Any one know if the Mo lakes bass club will be having there Benefit bass Tournament this year? It is the first sat of May on Table Rock,I have not received a entry form yet. I fished this 17 years in a row. Any help or did it go under... Thanks
