  1. Yeah you are right. You have really opened my eyes. Especially with your last sentence.
  2. That is how you view it??? Yep, lets just sit on our nuts.
  3. I have that report and some of those tables seem to reflect that the SBBSMA's are possibly detrimental to the smallmouth. Especially table 3.
  4. Depending on what crop you use and other factors, cost of production may vary greatly. And by reading some of the above post, it is very easily discernible that some have never attempted any type of research on the matter.

  7. I don't believe you read the links I provided.
  8. Uh well, it is very well documented that Brazil invested early on in ethanol. They are now virtually energy independent. Something that some would like you to believe can happen in the US with oil. But it won't. Just becuase it is not happening in the US does not mean it is not happening anywhere or "we" are not ready for it. Here are a couple of articles that explain what we could be doing. http://www.extension.iastate.edu/agdm/articles/hof/HofFeb09.html http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=grass-makes-better-ethanol-than-corn
  9. Right on OTF!!! It is not the answer!
  10. When they opend the coal fields in Wyoming in the late 70's early 80's, they said there was a 600 year supply. That is now down to 200. There is no reason we can't be driving F150's. We already have tech and have had for 30 years to make it a go.
  11. Green energy is already working in other countries. It is even being exported to other countries. I have yet to figure out why "big oil" in this country does not take the lead since we all know oil will not last forever. I just roll my eyes and shake my head every time I hear we a long ways off in green development. The US use to be the leader that all countries looked to for technology. As soon as we quit being led by the green and start leading the green, we will again be leaders.
  12. I knew that bud. With the new dictator, I mean director, the MDC has lost its vision. This man must GO!
  13. Ehhh, I understand what you are thinking but, I can name a lot of streams you won't catch a cat in. And many others that brownies far out number cats. Most Ozark streams, in my opinion are too cool and just don't have the proper habitat for cats. Especially in numbers that one would target them.
  14. What?? Shoot to kill on sight??? I think not. Do not follow Missouri's lead on this!!!
  15. Super nice fish!!
  16. So how much do you charge to come over and watch football and eat fish???
  17. Psssssssssst.....catfish are gamefish. Actually I think the LMB came in second behind the catfish. Which surprised me too.
  18. I think the lowly catfish still out ranks the turd bass as the most sought after fish in the state. So you boys haven't quite reached the "premier" status yet. There was a list somewhere and I was thinking that the brownie was 3 or 4 on the list. If I remember right, you were juuuuust ahead of the carp.
  19. I have been driving every day for almost 30 years and I am never checked for a license. Unless of course I am doing something wrong. Which happens less and less as I get older. I am pretty sure there are as many law enforcement officers in just my county as the MDC has in the whole state. Just a thought.
  20. I'll say a prayer for you.
  21. You will not out run them. I hit the Elk early on Saturday this weekend and they were moving in droves by 9:00. You can't out run them! LOL!!! I would suggest Waters Edge by the Undercliff. It is between Joplin and Neosho. It doesn't have the rowdy's the Elk does. Jim Cook is the owner and runs a clean camp. http://www.undercliffcampground.net/
  22. Nice work OTF.
  23. Actually that story didn't start until long after Robert died.
  24. Yeah I don't really know as the linage of the rumor is hard to follow. But here is some of the best info on Robert without having to read a whole book. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Johnson
  25. NO! Not for a youth group. You should have to be 21 to float that river!
