  1. Hey guy's, I think we have agreed more than once haven't we??? Twice maybe?????
  2. Are you saying you want the MDC to write you a check for your share of the savings??? I don't know if I am on board with this or not yet. I guess I will have to reserve my opinion until I see and actually use it. I am surprised though JD that you seem to be very positive of it?????
  3. WOW. Stike a nerve did I? Explain to me, with some semblance of intelligence which you pretend to have an ulimited supply of, why one would put non-native ahead of native???? Excluding your own perverted, selfish reasons. And I don't mean your own sexually abnormal and unacceptable practices or tendencies. I mean having been corrupted or distorted from its original course, or state.
  4. My point was don't put the rainbows a head of the native species when determining what other non-native species you want to put in any given water way. But thanks for the mini science we already knew.
  5. I have to disagree a little. I think the biggest factor should how they would impact the Hellbenders and the other native species. To hell with the non-native rainbows. Really though, haven't we changed enough???? Can't we just leave things alone for a change????
  6. How funny would it had looked if you and your buddies all got checked while fishing together and you all had the same name. Don't need Kojak to figure that out. "Crocker, get in here!"
  7. This is my 2000th post to OAF. A very proud day for me. Excuse me while I dry my tear. ...........................Thankyou. It was a John Boehner moment. I did a little research the other day when again Capp's was in the news because another visitor couldn't catch a large number of fish and he wanted to change the management from White Ribbon to Blue under the assumption that it would inflate his numbers. So I was curious as to the total milage of each. Blue by far out scored with over 60 miles to Whites barley 40 miles. They were both equal with I think it was 10 areas. Just food for thought.
  8. Sounds like they have regressed back to the 1800's. I thought we progressed as a society.
  9. Hard to breed when you're dead.
  10. Whats with the attitude dude?
  11. That is not correct. He wrote a letter to his daughter stating that he depised the Bald Eagle. His letter was wrote after Congress had picked the Eagle. He never offically endorsed the Turkey but, only made a comparison of the two in his letter.
  12. Yeah I know that. I mean with the chip so it will send a signal once every 24 hours and we could see the route taken. I think it would be very interesting to see the wandering that takes place. To end up in Missouri, these cats have to be coming clear arcross OK, KS, or NB to get here and they appear to do this completely undetected. I think it would fasinating to connect the GPS dots.
  13. No he doesn't. He covers it with available material.
  14. My not be great cat country but, when you a looking to establish your own, you may have to walk through some not so prime ground. I think it would be great if the western agencies could find the den's and chip the kittens. Then we could track them. I think it would be very interesting to view their travels.
  15. I can't really say positivly what is in the photo, but it does appear to be some type of feline. But in my opinion it is way to fat to wild. As for the buried llama, what type of burial was it?? Was hole dug or was it just covered in brush?? I would highly doubt a cougar would did a hole. Their claws are for catching and hanging on for the kill. They need to be kept as sharp as can be like talons. But they will cover prey with brush.
  16. And since 1994 they haven't. But there is no evidence of a resident breeding pair. Of the 12 confirmed sightings, only one has been a female. All other were young males. There is a lot of difference in a resident Mt.Lion and one that may be passing through is huge. If people would quit shooting them, then the MDC could collar one and track it. But we have to protect the......I better not go there.
  17. Missouri Dept. of Conservation Thanks for your question, John. Conservation agents have completed an investigation into the shooting of this mountain lion and determined that charges are not warranted. We don't condone indiscriminate shooting of mountain lions, but we also acknowledge that landowners must be able to protect their property and livestock under certain limited, circumstances. Conservation agents regularly issue summons and make arrests when people indiscriminately kill wildlife, but in this case the evidence doesn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a crime was committed. Jim@mdcSee More Sounds to me like the MDC decided not to make an issue out of it. This could have just as easily went the other way.
  18. 3 CSR 10-4.110 (1) Very cut and clear violation. 3 CSR 10-4.110 (3) OK a stretch but he still had no permits 3 CSR 10-4.110 (4) There was no emergency that the public interest justifed the murder of a rare species. 3 CSR 10-4.130 (1) Hold on cowboy, we have doubt. And you didn't read it correctly. 3 CSR 10-4.130 (6) That was the easiest one. What threat was he in a tree?? NONE. Goofball Jones slips out of bed due to some potlickers raising a ruckus. Sorry blanant violation. 3 CSR 10-4.141 OK that was also a stretch but since he is in violation of all of the other ones, this one count too.
  19. 3 CSR 10-4.110 (1) 3 CSR 10-4.110 (3) 3 CSR 10-4.110 (4) 3 CSR 10-4.130 (1) 3 CSR 10-4.130 (6) 3 CSR 10-4.141
  20. That would be the shortest, fattest Mt. Lion ever in the wild. And the tail does not appear to be long enough. I say not a chance.
  21. That doesn't make it legal. Did you notice how the artical left out the regulations regarding Mt.Lions? I guess with your way of thinking I would be justifed in shooting you in the head because it is a known fact that you always carry a firearm and I find that to be threatening to my safety as well as threatening to others of society. Plus there is a whole list of violations could have been brought against him. Probably wouldn't stick though. He is the hero at the local CO-OP.
  22. Where do you get it was a legal kill?
  23. Europe is just slang for Arkansas.
  24. Sounds like some real class idiots. You have the right to bear arms. Not radomly shoot like frigging retard! I just got back from a short wade on Shoal and they are still aggressive. I got 2 brownies, 1 largemouth and a fistful of goggle eye. Get'em while you can!
  25. If you would quit fishing at night, you wouldn't have to worry about it. Plus, trout need a resting period. After being chased around all day and all the stress caused by using 7x tippets, they need a time to recoup all of that energy lost. You know, trout are any extremly fagile resource that needs all the extra protection we can give them.
