I actually thought they did pretty decent moving the ball on the ground. I think they were averaging 5-6 yards per carry. I thought the first half went really well. The second half sucked. But we did much better than the "experts" thought. And better than I thought we would too. As mad as I was all throughout the 4th quarter, I guess to loose by one was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. And it gave me great hope for the rest of the season.

My son and friend have been putting a real smack down on doves the last few weeks. He posted this photo this morning and I thought it was pretty funny and thought you guys would too.

I wouldn't call it typical for meat hunters but I would call it typical for poachers. It's sickening to see. And you can't lay this at the feet of the MDC. Do we blame police officers for crimes? Acts like this are squarely placed on the perpetrator. For people like this, it doesn't matter what the regulations are. And even if you had 10 agents per county, you can't patrol every mile of water. But we all can be eyes and ears and pass on info.

I've had Maid Rite too. When working for the RR and running from KC to Davenport, there was a MR across the parking lot of the Motel. The old heads went on and on how good they were. I think I may have eaten two. Just couldn't find much love for them. Not bad, just don't get the giggles thinking about them messy bastards!

I don't know. As an ardent follower of the smoke, I have to side with Joe on this. Though I don't do so with clean hands. I have used a crockpot and store bought sauce before. And I'm not proud of that!
