  1. It's good to see you are making progress!
  2. You know you have a quality Bologna if you don't get that waxy feel on the roof of your mouth. Like Gavin, I like Frick's too. Especially the rope Bologna. That smokes up real nice and is great for many applications. Its perfect on a saltine with cheese and a dab of your favorite hot sauce. This is my current go to.
  3. I think you have cynical confused with uninformed.
  4. Oh and plus, that is some great looking smoked Ozark Round Steak. Grilled, fried, any way you do it is tops! Another great way is to grind it up and make like a Ham salad out it. I put chopped jalapeƱo's in it. Holy Moly!
  5. A word of advice. Bar-S is under $6 for 5lb at Wall-E-Mart. I find it to be one of the better Bologna's.
  6. All I know is when I fished with my dad and all the others back in the 70's and early 80's on Grand, Stockton and Table Rock, 30 fish limits of 1-2 pound fish was a daily event. But you are right an 11" inch as just as much meat.
  7. I've always been a proponent of a 12" LL. Used to a time when nobody kept one under that. And those are the days wrench is talking about. That all changed in the 80's. So they put a length limit on them and dropped the daily limit to 15. If they hadn't there wouldn't be any left. Most articles information comes from the phone or email. Most are skeptical of the phone interview unless it's someone they have delt with before. Too many have been burnt with no way to back up what was really said.
  8. You must have some criteria to arrive at that figure. Otherwise how can you completely disregard his?
  9. How do arrive at your 5%? Doughnut shop surveys?
  10. You seem to have a lot of free time. Why don't you job shadow him for a week. Let us know what is really going on.
  11. Welcome to Loserville you mean.
  12. I have always heard that they are excellent table fare. One time dad caught a 5 pounder. We had always heard they were good tasting so we decided to clean it. We obviously did not know how to clean a drum. I think we ended up with a tablespoonful of meat. LOL. Haven't touched one since!
  13. Everybody loves catching a drum. Until they find out its a drum. Excellent fighters. Not worth much else though. I feel your pain. Spots though only occupy about 7% of Ozark streams mileage. And of that 7%, their population density is usually below 20%. I say usually because you have seen a spike in you're area.
  14. You're absolutly right. There is nothing special about the Neosho. But there must be some fasination as you easterners keep bringing it up. Not as a fish worthy of angling for though. True, it is a smallmouth but, it's apparently a trash fish in the eyes of the elite. As far as everybody else is concerned, it's just another fish in the water.
  15. One thing I forgot to ask, if the Neosho is such a POS, laughable fish, why did the MSA raffle off a guided trip for them? And why is that guide coming to the monthly get together for club members to talk about how to catch them?
  16. What argument did you present again?
  17. I don't think anybody said they didn't like brownies. Or said that spots were better. And your right, they're all delicious!
  18. It's just an east side thing.
  19. How can you not like that! Gorgeous!
  20. Had some of those ribs the other day! BBQ sauce was found at the scene.
  21. Actually you can pick up some good tidbits here and there from that show. But yeah he ruins it for me. As for the recipie, I like this style as it works better for grilled cheese being its not like the more traditional "runny" style. This style is where you can really run wide open with ideas.
  22. You bet. I got that years ago from a episode of Triple D. I can't stand Guy now. But anyway it was some restaurant and this cat made a big batch. I looked it up and was able to find his recipie. I've tweeked it some.
  23. Finally a Pimento recipie Pimento Cheese 1lb each Chedder and Pepper Jack 1 can Pimento's 1/2 tsp Granulated Garlic 1/2 tsp Granulated Onion 1/2 tsp Black Pepper 1/2 tsp Green Pepper sauce 1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper 2/3 c mayo Measured portions maybe altered to taste.
  24. What does it matter where he fishes? It's his opinion. I enjoy fishing for all three with equal enthusiasm. I don't hold one as being superior to all others. Anyone that does, in my opinion, is short changing himself.
