Sounds good to me. They can call them whatever they want. We have too many unscrupulous poachers out there that think they have every right to harvest all the game and destroy the land to suit their wants. We tried that years ago. It didn't work then and it won't now.

Both are a privilege, not a right. If I remeber correctly you have been an advocate for more enforcement of game laws. No you say they have no right to check. You will never get one without the other.

That is what sickens me. If it is illegal for a Game warden to check you, then why have any regulations? In my eyes these are frivolous lawsuits! You got busted poaching and you don't want to pay the consequences! We have to stop giving power to the criminals! I hope it is a simple fix as you're stating Dave! If they put it on the license that the purchase of this license gives power and authority to game wardens to check you, then can I simply not buy license and therefore I cannot be checked? This could get pretty sticky. And all because poachers want protection! I want protection for the resource!

The ruling on this will be extremely interesting. And potentially extremely devastating. This could be the undoing of over 100 years of game laws and conservation.

I agree there. That's why I don't target a specific size or species. Although I have days it doesn't seem to matter what I toss at them. I don't necessarily disagree here. I not sure how many times by how many people it has to be said but, nobody is a Ned hater. They simply grow weary of the multiple daily Ned Threads. And actually, this thread was running really smooth until today.

They haven't in the last 40 years. If you look at any crank, spinner, buzz bait, or all the other hot soft plastics, have they ever stopped or slowed down hitting them? I think it is more of the hype reporting that slows down but the bite stays as hot as it ever was. Well except the Helocopter. And maybe the Banjo Minnow. No amount of hype could save them.

So target the small easy ones to compensate?

So which makes you a better fisherman? Catching hundreds of little fish that takes no skill? Nothing but adult fish that takes skill? Or something in between?
