I am fairly new to NWA, via the Springfield MO area, and as I am getting more comfortable with the lake at night I was curious where the night tournaments are and the hours they run? I come from Table Rock where they are everywhere, and just about every night of the week and weekend. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Not to my knowledge.

Any questions gove me a call or shoot me a text. 417-987-1005

Alan is my cousin and I sent him this link so he could defend himself. Lol. HE HAS NOT SOLD THE BUISNESS NOR HAS HE GONE OUT OF BUISNESS. Pig Sticker has a Facebook page, if anyone ever has a question he’s usually quick to respond. I know he’s family but I have seen first hand the quality that goes into the baits he makes and I would NEVER throw anything but Pig Sticker jigs.

I'm heading up next week to bass fish and was wondering what part of the lake to put in at? What are the water temps running and is the lake starting to turn over? Thanks for the help

Just reminding everyone that the Campbell Point Friday Nighter should start this Friday. It always starts on the first Friday in April. -Last year it was- $35 per boat ($5 extra for the year end points total). 7:00 pm until 1:00 am. 5 bass limit. Wear a coat cause it might be a little chilly........ Any questions call Dean Gautney. I don't have his number but I'm sure someone on here has it.

Yeah I have one but I got lazy and thought I could get it but obviously didn't work, and the other one that broke off was just a bad spot in the line but it never surfaced so I have no idea what happened.

yes and yes. If you could tick the brush that would even be better. Lost 2 of em in the brush if that tells you anything.

I unloaded at the SK bridge at about 7:30 and ran up White, about a mile, to the clear water and threw jerkbait, rock crawler, jig, A-Rig (for a minute), shakey head, and jigging spoon. Only bite I had was at about 9:00 on a jigging spoon (video game fishing) and was very surprised about that, 14 1/2" Kentucky. I tried that technique for a while and didn't get anymore bites, so I made the decision at about 11:30 to go towards Baxter until I found dirtier water and it didn't take long to find it, I stopped around Big Creek. Fished a spot that I've never fished before and just as the sun started to peak through the cloud cover and the wind picked up a little I caught my first keeper and within :45 mins I had 2 keepers and a 14 15/16" small mouth. So I started hitting main lake and secondary points in the dirtier water with wind and brush. Ended up finishing at about 3:45 with 4 keepers, 1 short and lost 3 good ones. I probably hit 7 or 8 different points in that 4 hour span and about everyone had at least one fish on it. I caught all the afternoon fish on the Rock Crawler, keeping the boat in about 10' of water and just fan casting out in front of the boat (basically paralleling). I did flip a jig at the trees and brush for a little bit but didn't even get a bite. I attached the pics of what I caught. Nothing too big but 2 of the 3 I lost would have really helped out the overall bag. I really wanted the jerkbait bite to be better in the clearer water but I couldn't get anything to bite. Not sure what's going on in the clearer water, but its tough for me right now.

I am new to LOZ and i was wanting to go to the North Shore/Dam area and was wondering what is a common pattern this time of year (with water temps in the upper 30's) and also where is a a good place to put in up there? Be specific on where to put in because I don't really know where i'm going. Thanks everyone.

I'm going to call the Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce when they open, because this morning Ky3 news said the tournament had been cancelled.

I just heard this morning on Ky3 news that the tournament had been cancelled. -
I've been out of pocket for a while with work and flood issues, but i've talked to some people whose been doing decent in the Campbell Point area after dark with a jig around docks, and when you find one you'll find a couple. I'm going Friday night, (first time in about a month) so i'll see what's going on. When talking to the older gentlemen who fishied nights and kept good notes, they said in the early 80's we flooded and the night fishing was tough for a few years, then it really turned on because of the good spawn during the flood. So to stay optimistic, we may struggle at night for now, but give it a couple of years and we'll have a ball once the sun goes down.

It took almost 15 pounds for 1st and 11 something for 2nd. Night fishing is starting to pick up. We had 4 keepers, but no size. We caught them all in about 20 feet of water on jigs. Seen a lot of fish cruising before dark but they wouldn't hit anything. I love to throw spinnerbait at night and it has been extremely tough to get a bite on the spinnerbait at night. It is very slow fishing right now at night, but it beats what it was a couple of weeks ago. It should only improve over the next couple of weeks. We need to keep this going about night fishing you don't usually hear much about it.

There is also a night tourney out of campbell point campground that starts at 7:30pm until 1:00am. I think its like $30 to $35 per boat. Usually when its normal power pool there's about 20 boats, but it seems like since the flood has come around, and gas prices are high there have only been 6 to 10 boats. Its a fun little tournament.

How has everyone been doing after dark? What part of the lake are you at? I would be curious to hear everyone's thoughts.

Diddo - On what everyone is saying we really enjoy what you do for this site!!!!!!!

I see that the Rock is at 927.17 this morning, and with the rain that is predicted over the next couple of days, is it possible to see the lake over flood stage or will they be able to control it? Will the Landing area be affected by this? I was just wondering how it all works. Thanks
