  1. Thanks Mike. Headed down there early next week in the Protem area for a few days.
  2. I have caught a few musky here on Fellows, on Pomme and several in Canada. I believe in catch and release of musky as well as bass. I have been on Fellows a lot in the past two weeks due to some unexpected free time. I have yet to see one floating musky but have seen several live musky. What water temp do you consider catching a musky in as ok? The water temp at Fellows this morn was 78.5. Would it be better just to keep a legal fish you catch in the summer after a long battle with them?
  3. Nitro, I was there Sat. Water temp was 78-81 in the morning. Was wasnt stained much then. With all this rain it may be different now.
  4. I use Joe Bald to launch a lot of times. I dont see where they are spending money on upkeep at the access. Guess I could be missing it.
  5. I use to fish it often but havent as much in the last few years. A friend of mine has a boat in a slip out there now and has let me use it when he and I arent fishing together. Also I like the new owners and workers at the marina. Very nice folks.
  6. Fished this morning in the rain after the thunder and lightening quit. Caught 1 keeper eye, 5 whites, 6 bass from 12-16 in on jerkbait and crappie jig.
  7. This Boat is still available.
  8. Nothing better than panfish for dinner! Congrats on a good trip and report.
  9. I have fished the drop shot for several years now and have caught a bunch of fish on it. Most of the fish I catch have been up to about 3.5 lbs. My tourney partner and I were practicing for a tourney Sat up towards Baxter and he caught a 7+ on drop shot. Best fish I have seen caught on one.
  10. I believe live crawlers beats them almost everytime here. I have tried them and caught a few but not many.
  11. Whites, silver or chrome and orange have been some of my catchers in flicker shads
  12. I just have to wade through the bass on bouncers but if you are hitting the areas PD suggest you'll get some eyes as well as other fish. I have the same experience trolling cranks catching bass, whites, crappie and then walleye. But once you catch a few you can key in on them and have a better chance of picking up a walleye instead of everything else. Good luck.

  14. 1984- 20' Champion boat 1998- Mercury 225hp EFI 1989 Champion Single axle trailer Lowrance Depth finder Motor guide trolling motor $5700
  15. Caught one last year dropshotting. He actually was never hooked but wrapped up in the line between the hook and weight. In Louisiana, a lot of people eat them. I have tried them before and they are not terrible just the preparation is extensive.
  16. Caught a dozen keepers Monday trolling just about everywhere out of 30+ . Also had a couple of small eyes trolling and 9 keepers bottom bouncing. More bass than I have caught in a while including one 4lb smallie.
  17. Firetiger
  18. Had an outboard stolen out of my driveway a few years ago. I feel your pain and anger! Hope you find whoever did it. For me after a while it wasnt about the stuff it was about being stolen from.
  19. Nice fish! We fished today also. Trolling flicker shads caught 12 keeper crappie out of 20 + fish.
  20. Thats some top notch eatin right there!!
  21. I was in the KVD with my son fishing a point near 86 bridge. We were a short cast from the bank. Had to stop one guy from passing between us and the bank but had another man and woman in a 12 ft boat cruise through and never looked at us. Very rude. I grew up fishing out of a canoe also and always thought big boat owners were rude but realized they dont have the market cornered on rudeness. Just need to use common sense and some respect.
  22. Been catching them surfacing near Baxter as well as in the Kimberling area this weekend. Whites and bass mixed.
  23. Thanks for putting on this great event. We fished the Baxter area and a friend fished the Cape Fair area. Its possible to fish anywhere on the lake with this event. Thanks again.
  24. Will KVD be at any of the registrations or weigh ins?
  25. Eyes????
