  1. Recently, those are a dime a dozen with lots and lots of fish over 6 are being caught.
  2. If any of y'all are looking to get down here and catch a big one, there have been 43 10lb or better officially weighed in since last May.
  3. I would also recommend Joe Joslin. He's a stand-up good Christian fella. I know him well, as we live in the same small town. He's an excellent guide at Toledo and is always on fish. Think of a Bill Babler of the south, except in a Skeeter. Let me know if you need more info. Good luck as the fish are on the move up shallow.
  4. Speaking of water temps, what's the temp down in Long Creek? I have been wondering the same thing about the A-Rig bite as far as what the temps are?
  5. What A-rig retriever do y'all recommend? I'm looking for the knocker type
  6. I caught a bunch of littlej ones today on an ultravibe in green pumpkin
  7. We are renting from Buffalo River Outfitters on Saturday. What are some baits I need to bring with me? Does it fish similar to Table Rock, and do the fish relate to structure like on a regular creek?
  8. Me and my wife are heading up Friday afternoon and we were looking for a place to drive in to pitch a tent on the river and do a day float/ fishing trip on Saturday and be able to go back to our tent for the night. Is this possible to do?if so, which put-in and take out areas would be best for this. We will have to rent a canoe also. Thanks
  9. Bill, what baits Are you having the best luck with on your a-rig. I have been using the blue back herring and the sexy shad Strike King 3.5 in swim baits down here. Heading there this coming Monday.
  10. What baits have y'all been catching them on on the rig?
  11. What size jig heads are y'all using on your rigs?
  12. How deep are yalls lines on your jugs? We do ours down here about 3-4 ft long. Are you throwing them out in shallow coves or out in the deeper water.
  13. What color and size ratl trap were yall using?
  14. We are at happy hollow and have caught over 45 keepers in 4 days. Most on the ultra vibe. Yesterday on pea gravel points. Today on bluffs tx rigged craws. Several 3 and 4 lb sm on the points. Had 1 lm at 4 lbs today on a bluff.
  15. Hey Don, How big of weight are yall throwing on your split shot rig and how long of a leader are you leaving? Thanks
  16. Yeah, to Table Rock Chode.
  17. Cajunangler is right about all the pressure on Toledo and Rayburn. I just got back from Toledo this afternoon and for the 3rd or 4th week in a row, there was another tournament that had 1200 boats in it. There were other tournaments going on also (Anglers Quest-300 boats). But the other weekends had the same huge tournaments that had over 1000 boats in it. Rayburn also had their McDonalds Big Bass Tournament and I am probably sure that it had a few thousand entries in it. This not to mention all the recreational anglers also. It is overcrowded, but there is plenty of water to fish on Toledo and Rayburn.
  18. What is the water temp yall are seeing around the Long Creek area? Thanks
  19. When yall are talking about muddy water, what type of visibility are you referring to? I am pretty sure it is not as muddy as what I am accustomed to down here. Also, in the colored water, is there ever any kind of lipless crankbait bite (Traps)? Thanks.
  20. What color trailer are yall throwing on the Missouri Craw? It is hard for me to tell what would match up better on it.
  21. Thank you Don, I appreciate the help. That is about the same thing we use down here at Toledo Bend and Rayburn, we use just a larger jig. We stay at Happy Hollow and this is my 5th year in a row and my dads and his friends 25th or so year. I hope to be able to fish the flooded stuff but I am not sure if the water will still be up and cleared up when we come. Where do you recommend throwing the jig, transition banks, chunk rock, pea gravel or what?
  22. Which Eakins Jig are yall using or have the best luck with up there. I looked at the website and could not figure out which ones to get. I will be up there at Table Rock Apr. 26-May 1. Thanks for any advice.
  23. Thanks for helping out cajunangler. 6 of us are heading up there in the morning from SW LA for our annual trip. We usually stay around the Long Creek area, but I think as soon as we get up there we are gonna go put in up on the Kings around Viola I guess. We have never been up there but if any of yall can help us out on what to expect I would appreciate it. Thanks.
  24. How were you rigging your finesse worms? Thanks in advance.
