    My wife and I fished this tournament. I got lucky and cashed two checks, first hour on the first day and first hour on the third day. We caught everything up shallow on the south end on Carolina rigs. My father and I fish the tournament they put on in April and they are well run and a good time. Looking forward to April.

    I got real lucky in this one. The year kinda went up and down for me. I was real surprised that the big fish bonus actually is what helped me in the end. Thanks to abkeenan for putting it together. Looking forward to next season.

    Most of our fish came on a Carolina rig We had the boat in 10-12 feet throwing near the bank on the first two days. Caught most of our fish on Sunday with the boat in 20-25 ft. We were in the Long Creek area.

    Could you please post a location map of all of the entries that were in this year’s tournament? I thought it was interesting to look at when you posted it last year. My dad and I were the only entrants from Louisiana last year. But, we are coming back this weekend for another week of gettin em. My dad cashed a 10th place check and a 4th. I cashed a 4th also. We had a great time as this is our 5th year fishing the tournament. We appreciate the way the event is run and will be another entry next year.

    My friends and I are headed to Spring Creek in mid-August. What are the best lures for that timeframe? We will be kayaking and fishing from the bank using spinning rods. Thanks in advance.

    That’s is true but I was wondering should I use it on a 1/16 oz Ned if the water was super clear on an ultralite rod. I have no idea on how clear the water will be, the depths we will be fishing, or species that will be targeted. We still may try to find some trout somewhere.

    Sorry for the dumb questions. I’ve never fished the Creeks up there for smallmouth. I only get to catch them at table rock every year.

    I use 6lb Sunline while fishing the Ned at Table Rock, should I change to 4lb?

    I am looking for any information on what baits work on the smallmouth in Sylamore at the end of September. I am assuming a Ned will work? I guess the water is still too warm at that time of year for the trout. If there are trout, what baits should we use? We will have kayaks with us, but would wading more beneficial? We are staying on the creek at an air bnb. Thanks for any information.
