  1. Check on the shipping from Orvis? It might be $12-$15 they will insure and confirm, now you have around $45 total maybe, that will be 75 cents a fly. I can tie my own for around 25 cents. I have found that the store bought flys are trashed after you have caught about 3 trout on most (not all), thread comes lose and so on. They don't use head cement on the volume of flys they tie where they need to. I can fish ONE of my Elk Hair Caddis flys all day and catch lots of trout and still use it on another day. I'm cheap and even take my old tore up used flys and strip them and re-use the hooks and beads if I don't lose them the to the brush & tree Gods. If you don't tie it's not a bad deal.
  2. Tim, It looks like it's NOT going to stop raining anytime soon at all. I just looked at the Intellicast.com radar.

  4. I tried them yesterday and they didn't work for me, I went to a Elk Hair Caddis with 7X and thumped them just below the surface once the Caddis got wet and submurged just a little (with 6X there were looks but NO hits). It was COLD and WINDY for sure. There were lot and lots of people there for sure. Spring breakers are at RR.....

  11. I had a 1993 Chevy Suburban, sold it in 2001 with 575,000 miles on it with no problems with it. The guy that bought it is still driving it. Hard to beat the old 350 Chevy motor, mine would burn 1 quart of oil between oil changes.
