  1. I've got a 7'0" I use on my small creeks for smallies and mine is line rated for 5wt-6wt, I have thrown 4wt on it fine. They are almost bullet proof to breakage and damage, almost..
  2. I just ordered Rio Selective Trout line WF5F shipped to my front door for $35 and some change. http://www.kkflyfisher.com/lines/rio_selectrout.html
  3. I'm going Crane Cr. again for sure the Nov.10th weekend or maybe before. I hope the under-brush has died off a little by then.
  4. Tim, how's the water today..is it up from the rains. I think I'll come up for a while today.

  9. Yes, you are right about the Bighorn being in the middle of nowhere, went through there back in mid Aug. to check it out. Thermopolois is nice..Lots of great fly shops south of town. I also went through Clarks Fork area from Red Lodge, MT. unbeivable road and country. I will go back...
  10. Looking for Fly vise with pedestal, anyone got one for sale. Nothing fancy, thought I would ask here first before I go to eBay.
  11. I was there all day Sunday in Zone 2 and did very well until around 1:00 pm and they shut off. There was some kind of hatch around then, they went wild on top. I'm not much of a dry flyer as of yet. I bet Tim knows what was going on. Very windy Sunday, but very nice..

  15. Good to here things are good on the Beaver "T" waters. I haven't been there for a while, were there very many people fishing around you? Hearing some good reports from my fishing guide buddies using the same patterns you mentioned. Beaver "T" is pretty solid on those patterns. Thanks for the update.
  16. I also have the Rio selective trout on my Mid-Arbor III and you will love it...I did the WFF
  17. I just picked up a Orvis Battenkill Mid-Arbor III for my 5wt. and I'm very pleased with and I think you would be also, the drag system is great when you need it. I also have a BBS but in a III on my 3/4wt rod, and like you say, very pleased with mine also. My Mid-Arbor was made in Korea, the quality is very good, no complaints. The box was marked made in Korea, but nowhere was it marked on the reel made in Korea. Sorry for the long rant, I just like Orvis reels. Take a look at the Orvis Mid-Arbor III it works nice.

    Crane Creek

Anybody been up there in a while, I haven't heard of any reports lately? Thinking of heading up there around Sept. 21,22 & 23. Tim I know you say you drive by it on the way to the shop, hows it looking with all of the rain? Also from what folks say they are very, very spooky and tough. Any idea's on what fly's to use? Planning on using a little 7'-6" 3/4wt. others have said there's a lot of bank brush and tight work. I hate to drive that far and not have a plan..... Thanks
