Thanks for the info guys, that is what is great about this site. I am also expecting a sweet digital camera in the mail this week to take with. I am actually going 6/22 weekend. Therefore, someone go fishing on the rock while i am gone and catch the heck out of them.=)

I was actually thinking about dropping off a vehicle at Erbie, then driving to Ponca and putting in there. Any thoughts about this for a 2 day float and camp on gravel bars? thanks

I live in Branson and never have fished/floated the buffalo, my wife and another couple want to go down on a friday and camp until sunday, we want a nice float and fish. where should we put in and park the other car to pick up the canoes? any suggestions of good logistics for this and a pretty part of the river and good fishing? thanks

Hey all, I am really interested in the 86 tourney, but wont be able to do it this weekend, maybe next. How does a guy enter it? Do you just show up a little before launch time at the long creek ramp? Thanks, dont worry though, ya'll would of kick my butt anyway =)

Fishing was fair, caught majority of fish off docks using lizards and shakey head. Top water bite was on once wind blew. 3 of us probably had 19lbs of keepers 8 total on saturday. pretty busy boat traffic though =)

Fished yesterday from 530-7pm, 1 smallie 16", lost nice lm at boat over 4lbs... throwing soft zoom plastics 6 inches to 5 foot of water. i am in dam area. there are very few spawners left, lots of bass slamming shad on top, i'll hit that next week.

Fished Friday night, caught 1 fish between 3-7pm. after 7pm caught a 5 lb +, 2 in the 4's several in the 3's, nice smallie and lots at 15inch. Quit at 11pm, only caught one 3.lb after dark. fished sat. morning at 10am, caught 1 over 3lbs, slowed after that, quit at 1pm. still fishing texas rig, lots of guys are throwing spinner baits, which would be a good idea in about 2 weeks in my opinion, but now a little early as shorts like to chase the blade. just my opinion. FYI, a little encouragement for you new guys to the lake, i struggled here for 2 years solid before i started catching fish. key is to keep trying and talking to people. good luck

I have been guilted in to writing at this point =) I fish a lot as I live on the Rock. My report is a little old, (last Sunday) I mainly fish dam area so here goes. I threw texas rigged plastics last 2 weeks, have caught several 4 lb+ largemouth and one over 8. I havent yet caught a small jaw in the spawn and have caught several Ky's. My fish are coming in the 5-7 foot range, I cant see the beds, but know they are on the beds or near when I am getting bit by the big fish. I do not have any digital pictures b/c I do not have a digital camera. Green pumpkin is my favorite color in any thing soft made by zoom. I will be going out fri-sunday, but not tonight. I will report back when I have a more up to date account cheers
