Some Guys came in for start of Trout Season always have a Camp Fire by their Trailer across the road. Last year it caught the grass on fire twice, one time while they was in town. I put it out then. This year they came built a Camp Fire, was told by the Law it wasn't a good idea considering there was a Red Flag Warning just next county over. They told the Law off, said they could have a fire if they wanted. The Law said yes but they really needed to use Common Sense. Well we were down helping our Son at his BINGO Hall in the city, got home after dark, smelled smoke but we had smelled smoke for the last 70 miles because of fires. I get up to feed, look across the road see three House Trailers burn. Come to find out they had burnt yesterday afternoon because of the Camp Fire, which when we left I had noticed it smoldering, the Guys that set it had already left for home. Anyway it had burnt three House Trailers and jumped over on our side of the road and jumped the highway going the other way. oneshot

The MDC have started using Boar Buster Traps and their getting bunch of money from USDA. Like I told them not many in the state will speak out against the ban because not that many hunt them. Me I've always stayed clear of their Traps. Problem is they only try catching them where they have done crop damage. I tried telling them where there was Hogs on MDC Areas and they said there wasn't any. They said they have eradicated them where I hunt which they haven't. They stop me from hunting them I will not tell them where they are. As far as I'm concerned they are their baby let them find out. oneshot

Can a person still catch plenty Redhorse right at the Park? I use to but its been years ago. I know I can go on down and catch plenty but I just soon catch them by the House. I sure would like to have a bunch. oneshot

Went to the river fishing . The Rainbows were biting. I caught the smallest one ever, I guess it was an escapee from the Hatchery. oneshot

Went to Warsaw did some work on our Cabin. Get back went across the road talked with couple that have their Trailer over there. Across the road is mostly people parking House Trailers and Camp Trailers in there and coming down Trout Season, using them during this time. Well like I say went over talked with this couple. They asked if I had heard the News? Nope. They said they got a letter saying the Ground had been sold to a Guy in California and they was going to have to move their Trailer by the end of March. The Guy was putting in a KOA. oneshot

Well guess they open up the Wooden Bridge for business. Just at the river they was catching Trout and Bass. oneshot

Went to the river was just catching Small Rainbows and not that many. The Wooden Bridge is still closed. I guess they are going to have to replace it. They say they are going to turn lose 7,500 opening day. I just hope they are going to be able to stock numbers and size through the season both in the Park and River. oneshot

Went to Barclay today. Water got up about 4 feet on the Pines at the Parking Lot. The Hole upstream from the Ramp before the Riffle now has a Tree in it. The Gravel Bar by the riffle is no longer there. Caught couple Short Browns and one Rainbow. oneshot

Went down to the river today. There was plenty of people there. They was catching Trout, Smallmouth, Goggle Eye and Crappie. Me I just caught four pretty good Rainbows and went home. Hoping to catch some Smallmouth and Goggle Eye next week. oneshot

Oh I remember that. I had got my Line tangled, went to get it undone and fell in. It was down around zero. And yes that hill was slick. The Pickup is '95 GMC gave $5,000 for it. Still have it. Got 300K miles on it. My wife was videoing and taking pictures. oneshot

Oh it don't bother me being called a Hillbilly. My Father in Law thought I was going to kill his Daughter and Grandkids feeding them plants I found around. Like my wife says if it moves its Food. Was raised growing crops in rocks. Didn't know there was seasons on animals. Use to wade Sac River naked checking Limb Lines. Get on some sights for Homesteaders, their always talking about digging Post Holes for Wood Post, I built many miles of Fence with Wood Post never dug a hole. Punch a hole with Rock Bar, set Post in, then drive it in with a Maul, use Rocks to make Corner Post. Burn the place off each Spring, for New Growth for Pasture. Milked Cows by hand. We lived with no running water, outhouse, no Electric and no Phone. Caught Rain water for our water. We was actually told we could not live that way. Was down in Springfield, just off Glenstone visiting our Son. Our Daughter drove up, asked me what I was doing? Oh I'm cleaning a Road Kill Turkey. Dang Hillbilly with Hillbilly ways! oneshot
