I've tried putting Lines out but not enogh Catfish for me to have much confidence.But Gig in the Winter and that can get interesting.Was Drinking Gigging,it was very cold,one of the Guy smaked another in the face with a fish.The guy throwed him in the river drug him out,throwed him in the Bed of the Pickup everyone went back to Gigging. The Old gal before she died tried to get me to burn a persons house I wouldn't do it.One evening I was up on my roof doing some work looked over across the holler seen flames and smoke.Drove over the Guys house was burnt to the ground. I do know if you have trouble with someone just let the word out the problem will be taken care of.The only reason people don't give me trouble even though I moved in here from the outside is I have family in the area that have lived here for years and right after I moved here there was an insident where I convinced them I was crazy and might kill them. Oh as far as Banjo music most here didn't see the movie but have heard Fiddle Music plenty of times.I also have family in southern Louisiana thats the reason my Inlaws didn't want me and my wife to marry because of my ancestory. oneshot

Went down to the Niangua at Lead Mine this morning caught couple Crappie and couple nice Bluegill.Caught couple short Bass and had a Nice one throw the hook.Caught them on White Road Runner. Someone left bunch of Limb Lines down there with no name,so be careful if floating through there.I might go down and cut them in couple days. The river is in good shape. oneshot

Lead Mine has two access.The second one down is just gravel but you miss couple good riffles using it.The first one though is good Ramp and gives you a chance to get lined out before hitting the riffles. oneshot

Had to go to Lebanon picked up some Power Bait.Went below 64 HWY Bridge,nothing.Went over to Barclay at the riffle,nothing. River looked great but it was middle of the day.Almost stepped on a Copperhead at Barclay,he went one way I went the other which I'm sure was fine with both us. oneshot

I had a Muskie take a Crappie away from me one time there,I was using only 2# Line so it didn't last long.Caught a Crappie the other evening that had been raked by a Mukie. I was fishing over there couple years ago had a Guy tell me he catches Muskie all the time cuts their heads off throws them back Dang It! I don't care they are Unique to the Lake people work hard to supply them there and I catch plenty of other fish so their not hurting other fish that much.Some people are just idiots. oneshot

Not much rain at all around here. I know this is not Bennett but I've left my Permit in my Pickup and had CO walk back with me to check it.Name on Stringer,was Crappie fishing off Dock the other day had CO come up there didn't say anything about name on Stringers but did check size and this was a New CO trying to do his Job. oneshot

Has anyone had problems catching Buffalo on Chicken Liver? I've caught 3 so far. oneshot

I've been catching Buffalo up by the Dam haven't tried catching Gar don't care for them much on eating but don't let them go to waste. oneshot

Yea my idiot BIL told me I needed a 4 Wheeler to ride with them on Corps Land.I told him it was stupid considering it was illegal.Oh everyone does it.Thats where these things start everyone does it wheather its right or wrong. Had a Guy drive up from Springfield.I seen where he was riding 4 Wheeler on my property.I confronted him about it.He denide it.Come to find out the 4 Wheeler was stolen. oneshot

Went to Pomme De Terre yesterday evening above the Dam.There was several there catching Crappie,ok I know if I go early I should be prepared.But they was catching lots of Crappie but most were too small.Seen one nice Bluegill caught and one Lady caught a 5 pound Catfish while fishing for Crappie. Me I was after Catfish.Had Dip bait,Hot Dogs and Chicken Livers out.Set there couple hours nothing.Then caught a couple pound Channel.Later had a fish on was surprised to have an 8 pound Buffalo.Then caught another Channel about couple pounds.All my catches were on Chicken Liver. Lake is still going down.Bite for me was short lived when they quit thet quit but thats fishing I left at 10:30. oneshot

My wife said she was going to her Moms asked if I wanted to go fishing? Well this didn't take much thought. Went to Pomme De Terre by the Dam,there was others there we had 13 Lines out.I was using Stink Bait caught the only fish. oneshot

Been fishing on thr Niangua and over at Pomme De Terre Lake.Haven't had much luck. Went this morning caught one nice Redhorse,stopped by the store to get some oil to fry it.The owner of the store said he was having the same luck but the fish he had been catching was full of eggs,we came to the conclusion they are in spawn mode the reason for the slow bite. oneshot

Went to Adventures today to float the Niangua River from Fort Niangua to Bennett. Didn't get much fishing done because I had to get back home but did manage to catch a Goggle Eye and Smallie.Seen a Mature Bald Eagle so I guess they are staying year round. Had a very good time the river was looking good.Linda at Adventures is a stand up Gal willing to work out any kind of float you want to do. oneshot

I know a couple Guys that were down there caught their Limits that morning,there was a couple down there seemed to be taking pictures of each other.But they was working undercover,they took pictures of the Guys.The Guys came back in caught their Limit again that evening,Agent wrot them up a Ticket,they couldn't argue with the Pics.So yes there is Agents in there just not where everyone knows they are there. oneshot

The Ranger down there is New some say he is an A but so many complain about Laws and Rules not being enforced so the guy is trying to do the Job he was hired to do. There is also a New Conservation Agent on the river.Me and him have already had a disagreement but I was doing something he had not been trained on,after we figured I was right every thing was cool and we had a good visit.I didn't get upset with him I just realized he was a New guy needing to learn. I have been personal friends with many agents over the years had them out at my place in the middle of the night until middle of the day trying to catch poachers.I know of one right after he strated he went to check a Guy and the Guy hit him with the Butt of a Shotgun,if the Agent han't been agressive and still kept his cool things could have ended much different other than a arrest.I know one Agent that I've seen all over the State,he has went out of his way to come say Hi to me and ask how me and my family are. Point is they are just trying to do a Job and if they should give you a Ticket so be it. oneshot

My wife asked our Daughter in Law how the river was over by Bennett? Oh its down and cleared up. So my wife said she was going to take our Grandsons over to go swimming asked if I wanted to go fishing? Yea I'll go. Get over there the river is still up and muddy.New structure just below 64 HWY Bridge as in a couple trees below the first hole. Did manage to catch couple nice Rainbows on Power Bait. oneshot

Went to Barclay yesterday the water was just above the gravel bar and muddy,I didn't fish.Drove on over towards Bennett looked below the Bridge on 64 HWY,the river was up but there was people fishing I don't know if they was doing any good. There was couple heavy short showers yesterday and suppose to get the same today so don't know if the river is going to change much by the weekend. oneshot

Yea with trouble at LOZ last year their making sure all their i's are dotted and their T's are crossed. I'm thinking of going to that point above the Dam one of these nights soon to see if I can catch some Cats. oneshot
