  1. Guys, thanks for fast reply guys. Are they still hitting that stickbait or are you having better luck on the cranks.
  2. Coming up there in the morning for the first time this year. Was wondering if most of the water looks the same or if there is some colored water. What is the temp around most of the lake. Just wanted to know a few things before I tied on tonight. P.S. A good bass fishing report would be nice to.
  3. Bill, I am not talking about the Cricket Marina, I am talking about Cricket Creek. I showed 61.6 at the marina but suprisingly warmed up in the dirty shallow water on up in Cricket Creek. Hogfan was right in that I fished 6 hours that afternoon but that is besides the point. Did you stop to think that all the views were from you basically calling someone a lier. Maybe next time you post a report and I don't catch them that good(or my weekend angler type buddies)I'll be wondering, is he pulling my chain. Been an hour, Letting her Rip
  4. As for the water temp I pulled into Cricket Creek and went towards the back and started fishing at the gravel launch on the left and bladed my way back out. Your right Bill, both my units were probably off on the temp. Sorry to make you "guide types" look bad. I will try to tone down my reports from now on.
  5. Got out for an afternoon of fishing after the Easter dinner. Saw 66.2 degree water up Cricket with some nice fish coming from the shallows on warts and blades. Worked my way up lake and the fishing was still good. Can still catch them on channel banks and points on the grub. Stick bite was also working on the windy banks which were not hard to find.
  6. Nice fish. If not for the replica program he may not have caught that fish.
  7. I would be interested but it sounds like they are all mag warts. It sure is nice of you for the info.
  8. No I haven't heard. Me and a buddy fished a small tourny today and only had 12 pounds. I'm betting we would not have to waited in the check line.
  9. Thanks for the reports guys. I was afraid of the rivers being to full of trash and muddy so I went up around Eagle Rock this morning. Fished till 10:45am. The fog was terrible. I was afraid of running to far. Caught 11 with only 2 keepers. A 3lb Lm on the grub and a 3.5lb SMJ on the stick. Water was clear and 48 degrees.
  10. Going out in the morning. Haven't been out since before the snow. Was wondering where the mudline was on Kings and James or is it all muddy by now.
  11. Caught 6 in one morning a couple of weeks ago. Had 4 keepers(2 at 22")on a smithwick.
  12. Bill P, you beat me to to the Eakins Jig rod. It is allittle longer than you are looking for at around 6'10" but an excellent rod. I have a few of them and they are great for spinnerbaits as well as jigs up to 1/2oz FB. I am sure the cara is as nice if not nicer but for a few extra $ you are still getting an excellent rod.
  13. I can only get an 1 1/2 to 2 hours on the water with him so far. It takes longer getting everything(snacks and juiceboxes) around longer than that. But I don't want to burn him out. So I will leave any time he is ready. After all, if he can catch them like that I need to keep him around.
  14. Man what a pretty day. Got a chance to take my 4 year old out today. Put in at Baxter at around 3:00p.m.. After a short run before the boat was nearly off plane he was up chunking his spongebob squarepants pole. Caught 2 nice keepers on a grub in around 25ft of water but my partner got to winch the fish in. Caught 3 more out of a cedar on the stick bait with one also being a fat KY. He started getting alittle tired so we headed in around 4:30p.m.. Even if we don't catch anything it is still fun fishing with my favorite fishing partner.
  15. There ALL nice. That one's just a nice big one.
  16. Great report. Not sure I could have handled the wind but it sounds like it was worth it.
  17. I guess I don't understand. People on this forum are always probing around for more information and when someone gives someone ALL the information he is bashed for it. S&M glad you are catching fish and I am sure SMJ is chomping at the bit to get after them.
  18. Glad to see Dodson could get some of there money.
  19. Brent Ehrler is the man. I am going to be waiting at Baxter in the morning to see if him or any of the other top 5 are heading up the White. Would love to watch him work his majic. They say he has gills.
  20. Wow! Brent Ehrler with over 22 pounds. Do you think he is up the White.
  21. Is this tourny like the one's in the past. Do they take the top 10 after 2 days and clear the weights to fish the final 2 days for the win.
  22. I bought a line counter at BP. After putting on my filler I will put on around 200ft of my good line. This way I can get 3 reels of the expensive fluoro out of a spool.
  23. I don't understand why Shimano is not cooperating. Surely they can afford the loss for a good cause.
  24. The president is a great reel. I personally would rather have a cheaper baitcaster and have a good spinning reel with a good drag system. Remember, you are talking about catching these fiesty SMJ's and big KY's on 6 or 8lb test.
  25. Not sure if it was the water temp or pressure in the air but all my jerkbaits were sinking faster than norm yesterday.
