  1. Jalapenos it will be. Yeah, if there are no chips, we'll tie a new pattern and name it after Terry, "The Tar and Feather."
  2. Seahorses or no seahorses, I'll be there as usual.
  3. I know. There's no need to wait until New Years day. I finally caught fish this month, twice at Taney. Those were the first fish I have caught since March. That is the longest dry spell I've had in 6 years. I usually get shaken up and out of sync if I go longer than two weeks without anything on the end of the line. It's been busy and hectic this year, kids, parents, chores, generation, but I am finally settling back into a pattern. We need to find a good day on the calendar to set up a "tying clinic" one evening. PM me with some convenient days if you want. I need to relearn to tie Amy's Ant. It is a good terrestrial for trout and by the looks of things it is probably a good topwater bug for smallies.
  4. I'm taking a few of us to see Molly Hatchet, Marshall Tucker, and Atlanta Rhythm Section next Friday. Hatchet's lead singer and one of their lead guitarists have since passed on. I saw them in the early 1980's, good show then. Caldwell brothers from Marshall Tucker have since passed. I know they are not in their prime but I just enjoy that southern syle of music.
  5. That's a barn door.
  6. I just booked a family float with the kids for 08/06/10 from Baker to Gilbert. We are camping at Tyler. I only floated the Buffalo once before. I think a fun float in the Spring would be Ponca or Steel Creek to Kyles. I don't know much about fishing the Buffalo. I'm glad you had a good trip and got on some fish.
  7. I enjoyed your blog report. Congratulations,
  8. I use copper tungsten beads over all other colored beads combined. My most successful are in order tan, light brown, rusty dun, wine, and red thread bodies with copper bead and segment.
  9. People need to realize there is a difference between "the right to do a thing" and "doing the right thing."

  16. I am really interested. Good cause at hand. If I can go, I can probably round up a few others. To date, it's too soon to tell if I can can make it. Please remind us as time draws near the deadline. Thanks Zack,
  17. Colts have the Super Bowl experience and a tenacious quarterback. However, I'm going to root for the Saints just because they have never been there before.

  19. Thanks for the help guys.
  20. Every time I click on the Beaver tailwater generation chart thread, I receive the results for the Norfork tailwater generation chart. Does anyone experience the same result? If so, can the link be reestablished by the administrators? Thanks,
  21. I fish a Galvan Torque in my 5 wt and I absolutely love the reel. I was discussing a new 4 wt reel I might purchase later this year and I might get another Galvan. Others suggested Lamson Litespeeds as their favorites. Some folks I talked to have stated they sent their Litespeeds in for repair several times because of drag problems. Since then, they stated they fish their Ross Evolutions much more often and are extremely satisfied. Looking for experienced feedback from those who have fished more than one of these reels and asking for both Pro's and Con's. Thanks,
  22. I have the Crawdad Slumpbusters tied up as well as a bonus fly. I'm going to tie up another bonus fly because there are so few in this swap. I'll make deadline.
  23. For the skinny stuff, 6X and 7X tippet, I use Rio and Frog Hair. Once I need a heavier line, I use P-Line or Berkley Vanish. I use pure flurocarbon line. I do not use fluorocarbon coated line because the coating eventually wears off before the line wears out.
  24. It looks like it will be a few weeks. http://www.4029tv.com/news/22256531/detail.html
  25. Come on folks! It's a good time of year to tie. JJ, When is the deadline to reply?
