  1. Just a reminder to come out and join us this Satuday for a great cause! If you have any questions you can contact me at 479-225-2320.
  2. On September 12th we will be having a Benefit Bass Tournament to help raise money for the Baker family from Huntsville. Haley and Benny were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Kenzley Michele Baker, on June 18th of this year. Tragically, baby Kenzley passed away last Thursday unexpectedly at the young age of 2 months. All proceeds and donations will be given to the Baker's to help with funeral expenses. If you have any questions or would like to make a donation, please feel free to contact me at 479-225-2320. Prairie Creek Ramp Sign-up is from 6am-7am (west pavilion by ramp) Take off - 7am Weigh-in - 3pm Entry fee is $50/boat (includes big bass)
  3. Great pictures Clay! You can use GoDaddy and build your own website for less than $150...heck you could sell a couple photos and pay for that! I say go for it...life's to short to hold back!
  4. If anyone knows of a good used pontoon boat for sale I would be interested. Would like something less than 12 years old but can't really spend more than $10k. Bigger the better but would consider an 18 footer if it's in good shape. Thanks
  5. I'm willing to take offers.
  6. This is a great boat. It has been garage kept from day one and is very clean! New custom cover from Aurora Canvas should be arriving this week. Motor has warranty until 2013. Boat is Black, White, and Silver and has a black tandem axle trailer with break away tongue. MinnKota trolling motor, 2 Lowrance 520c color graphs w/GPS, ProGuide Batteries w/ 3 bank charger and as mentioned above a brand new customer cover. I can email pictures upon request.
  7. Thanks Whack'em! I won't be able to fish this weekend since it's on Saturday but my buddy and I may try to fish a couple of them this year. I'll be sure to stop by and say hello when I do make it out there.
  8. Anyone know if the Friday night team tournaments have started out of Mill Creek yet? If so do you know what time they take off? Thanks

    Omtt

I agree with you 100% on this!
  10. Quillback, If you're a Cox Cable customer you can catch the show on channel 8 in Northwest Arkansas. Looks like it airs at 8:30am on Saturday mornings. Hogfan
  11. Brian Edwards at Edwards White River Guide Service (870) 656-0185. Brian is an excellent guide and just an all around good guy. He has a very nice boat and uses top of the line equipment. I can't speak for the other guides mentioned above but I can say if you go with Brian you'll have a wonderful time.
  12. So who toughed it out and had the winning sack today?
  13. My wife and I visited the White River a couple weeks ago and had a blast! We stayed at Copper John's which is very clean and located right on the water. We hired Brian Edwards (Edwards White River Guide Service) and caught a lot of trout on a very tough day. I would recommend these nice folks to anyone!
  14. A little over 28lbs won the tournament. We had just shy of 22lbs and took 12th place. We weren't on the fish by no means but found a way to catch a limit both days. We thought we were doing the wrong thing because we didn't have any other fisherman around us either day of the tourny.
  15. I fished our annual company bass tourny yesterday and there were several reports of lots of fish being caught. We managed to cull through 8 keepers and take 2nd place. We caught a few early on a spinner bait in the bushes and the rest came on a jig and drop shot. We caught a majority of our fish on the drop shot with most of the fish suspended over 30+ feet of water. The fish seem to be feeding really well right now. Hope this helps....
  16. Hey Champ....How did LOZ go?
  17. I'll agree with you on the customer service at Waymack. I have never purchased a boat from them but have purchased several parts for my boat and electronics and Mitch has always went out of his way to help out. Great customer service at Waymack! If they only sold Champions.....
  18. Let us know what you find out. I have the same trolling motor and would be curious to see what the problem is.
  19. Thanks captmac. You should reply to Ralph and ask him to refraise his last sentence which stated "And without them there would be no tournament circuit." The way I see it without the the fisherman who donate their hard earned time and money there would be NO tournament circuit nor would there be a Bass Pro Shops or Tracker Marine. This is an industry driven by fisherman and outdoorsman and without us they've got nothing. You can find another sponsor but you can't find another 300 anglers as loyal as the heartland members they've got now. That being said, I understand a business decision had to be made in the best interest of Heartland and for all of us, but I still think they could have went about this a different way. Like I said on another post, give them free entry's to next years team events and let them qualify the same way we all do. One last thing....I have nothing against those who qualified and wish them the best of luck!
  20. I've got mixed feelings about these teams getting to fish the Championship. In one hand the tournament they qualified through was for a great cause and by heartland allowing the top two teams to fish the team classic probably got a few more boats to fish that weekend which in turn raised more money. On the other hand the other qualifiers (even those who won an event) had to fish 5 of the 6 tournaments, pay membership fees, entry fees (6x$270=$1620)and spend thousands more to have a chance to qualify. What I really don't like is the fact that they qualified at Truman and now the championship is held on the same lake. They could've gave the winners a years worth of free entry fees and that way they could've qualified the same way we all did. My partner and I fished every event and just like everyone else we spent a lot of money to get the chance to fish the championship. Not just on lodging, meals, and gas but we took time off from work prior to every tournament. I feel like we earned our way to the championship and feel a bit cheated to know you could fish one event and make it as well. Just my opinion......
  21. Sent an email to Heartland and found out it's going out of Bucksaw on Truman. Letters are suppose to be mailed this week to all who qualified.

    Big Bass

Very interesting.... I agree with RPS and Trav that there are big fish in the Kings arm but it seems like to me the numbers are better in the James. As far as the HOGS, Hawkeyes, Tigers, and Crimson & Creme go......We'll have to agree to disagree on that one!!
  23. Ok here we go...... If you were trying to catch ol' bucket mouth and could only fish one arm/area on each of the following lakes which one would it be? 1) Table Rock- James River? 2) Lake of the Ozarks- Glaize Arm? 3) Truman- Tebo? 4) Stockton- Big Sac? 5) Bull Shoals- Upper White River (Lead Hill)?

    Grand Info

Water visibility around the sailboat bridge area is 3'-4' and the water level has dropped around 2' over the last couple weeks. I'm sure they won't be pulling any water this week at any point but fishing this weekend will be good regardless. I'm guessing with the 4 fish limit that it will take over 19lbs Saturday and over 18lbs Sunday to win. I'll be heading down early Thursday morning to practice a couple days and will be fishing the Team event Saturday. Good luck to everyone!
  25. Thanks guys. I didn't know if all the rain in SW Missouri the last week would be enough to muddy the Elk up or not. I'll probably fish up the Elk one day and the mid lake area the other.
