  1. Yea. Probably head down Monday. Weather permitting. PC
  2. Yep .... I've got a Litespeed for sale .... LS2. Fantastic reel. It's like new .... it's only seen the stream a few times. Attempting to sell it because I need the cash. All (3) of the reels mentioned above .... Torque, Litespeed, and Evolution are great reels. You really can't go wrong with any of them. I personally prefer the Lamson and the Ross over the Galvan. PC
  3. I foul hooked one yesterday at BSSP. It was border line trying to bring that fish in ... in the heavy current. Finally got the fish in and released it. Had it been just another minute or two ... I would have snapped him off. We pretty much had the entire park to ourselves so there wasn't any etiquette issue. I kind of "play it by ear". If it's a large fish .... I snap them off. On all others it depends on the water conditions and where they're hooked. Like it or not, it happens .... it's pretty much just a park occurrence for me. I suspect that it happens frequently for the guys fishing the Taney outlets too. PC
  4. Fished BSSP 2/1. Yep, it's up and off color. Had to change a lot too. White thread jig, buggers, cracklebacks, and eggs. Nothing in Zone 3. Some black caddis coming off this afternoon. Lots of weight .... most of the action was at high bank and above the dam in Zone 1 and near the spring. PC
  5. Lamiglas AT-764. Fantastic small stream rod. Highly recommended. PC
  6. This thread started out killer .... it's a pointless thread now .... but ya gotta admit it's funny to read at least once. I ate at a restaurant in St. Louis a few months back ... it was a real ___hole. I probably won't go back ... I hope nobody's offended. Anybody got my back? PC
  7. Here ya go. http://www.riverwoodresortmo.com/index.html PC

  15. I fish a Helios and like it a lot. I think the Okuma reels are a good value. PC
  16. ..... but think about the potential for multiple fish hook-ups. Head to your favorite trout park and go for it. "I made one cast ... thought I hooked a monster ... it had to be 11 lbs. .... got it close ... it was 11 (1) pounders". PC
  17. Found yesterday while trout fishing .... upper Niangua (64 Access). Gigged behind the head .... 10-11" .... been dead for at least a week. Saw another one about the same size but the water was too deep to retrieve it. Must have been perpetrated by an evil heron. PC
  18. Tim .... I see the good ol' apricot supreme was the ticket. Those saber toothed frogs at Capps are pretty freaky but nothing like those giant attack anacondas at Crane. PC
  19. I'm with RC on the cheese deal .... I like using the worm as the lead and then a cheese or marshmallow dropper in that hole. Most of the time I use a big old red/white bobber. PC
  20. Here's the deal with stockingfoot breathable waders ... you get what you pay for. You can buy low end waders and replace them every 2-3 years, middle of line waders will last 3-5 years, and top of the line waders 7-8 years +. My last pair of Simms lasted 7 years. I just replaced them with Cabela's Pro Guides (I would have gone with Simms G3s .... but couldn't justify the $ right now). We'll see how they do. PC
  21. Drew ... PM sent. PC
  22. Thanks for the reports guys. PC
  23. I believe that droppers are legal in all the trout parks. Here's a thread that Tim Homesley responded to re: RRSP and droppers. http://ozarkanglers.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13337&st=0&p=80454&hl=dropper&fromsearch=1&#entry80454 I believe that the Weaver's website at one time had the official rule posted re: BBSP. Personal Experience: A few years ago, a good ole boy at BSSP told me I was fishing illegally (I was using a dropper in Zone 1). Said he was gonna turn me in ... i said go for it. Anyway, about an hour later an agent came up to me with this ole boy in tow. The agent looked over my rig and turned to the ole boy and said everything was legal. You should have seen the look on that guy's face .... priceless. I got no apology from that guy .... typical trout park behavior. PC
  24. It's legal at BSSP and RRSP. PC
  25. I'm "all-in" with Pat and SIO3 on this one. It's survival mode right now. Trade, barter, or discount are the only viable options for my current situation. If an individual or shop has got something I need or vice versa .... let's talk. Doesn't matter. PC
