  1. Several years ago I decided I was going to buy a different boat. What I knew was....that whenever I was fishing and saw a Lund go by...I stopped and watched it. So I decided, based on that and good reviews, to buy a Lund. I went to several (many) boat shows and became acquainted with some salesmen. I knew specifically what I wanted and communicated that to them. Length, width, steering choice (I chose a tiller), color, motor brand & size. I told them I couldn't afford a new one but would buy a well taken care of used one rigged like I had described. It took me a couple years but I finally found the one I wanted...right here in Missouri. Several points - 1.) I've never regretted the purchase. 2.) It has never given me a problem. 3.) I still like looking at it. 4.) I wouldn't trade it for any brand new Tracker! There you have it from a Lund owner. Highly recommended!
  2. Flatheads aren't good to eat at all. And they are a real pain to clean too. I'll be glad to take those ol' nasty fish off anyones hands who happens to catch them. You know...just trying to help my fellow man. "Mama, git the grease HOT!!"
  3. I'm going to miss fishing the trees in that area. I'm not a fan of rip-rap.
  4. Those of you WITH jobs will be buying them for those who DON'T. Just so we all have the same chance. You know.....Redistribution of Lures. So true it's sad!
  5. More fishermen. 4 trout limit vs. 5 trout. Less trout stocked. Licenses more expensive. Maybe they need a bailout. Guess the 1/4 cent sales tax ($143+ million) doesn't go very far these days.
  6. BLUEGILL Fly Fishing & Flies by Terry & Roxanne Wilson is a wonderful book.
  7. Bounce a few ball bearings off those rocks near the baitfishermen and I'm sure you'll see 'em scurrying up the bank grabbing roots.
  8. No, not EVER! Well, unless you park nose out, with a nice fruit basket on your dash, and Barry Manilow music blaring from your vehicle.
  9. "Cause If'n you do.. cinch your wader belt down tight Matey.. er it won't be the Giant Squid you'll have to look out fer. Arrrrrgh"
  10. I'm a bbq guy so I have to say Arthur Bryants in KC. I ALWAYS find time to go when I'm "in the neighborhood". Or should I just say "HOOD"?????
  11. Did you guys get hit with much at Taneycomo? I know you avoided all the ice in 2007; did it get you this year? Got any pics of the snow on the lake?
  12. "Ice Rescue training"????? No matter how much it is, the guy playing the "victim" doesn't get paid enough!!!!!!
  13. EXCELLENT POINTS! Must a person possess a trout tag to fish Taneycomo, or only if they are keeping trout?
  14. Will a re-print of this topic suffice in court? I hope you're right Phil....although my money's on "Keep 4 and done." It'd be nice to keep four for supper (or breakfast) and then just fish for awhile.
  15. I.E. You gotta show some leg.
  16. Guys, this isn't getting any clearer. Occasionally, there are those issues that we're told, "It's at the discretion of the officer." Basically, you takes your chances. Be safe. If you want to keep fishing, don't keep that 4th one. Once you string up or drop #4 in the livewell, you're done. Simple. Otherwise, you risk a nice fat fine. Not worth it. And the Judge ain't gonna accept, "Well...on ozarkanglers forum they said......." Judge: "GUILTY. THAT'LL BE $200!"
  17. Remember.... NO Gulp eggs, nuggets, nibbles, nightcrawlers, minnows, etc. (real-or-fake) near Andy's House. You cannot fish scented or natural bait upstream of Fall Creek. With all the "Gulp talk" on this posting & then Andy's being mentioned; I just wanted to make sure everyone was clear on things.
  18. Enjoyed the pics and video very much. Happy New Year to all!!!
  19. Many in Springfield. Also a Krispy Kreme on Hwy 76 in Branson. Uh....visited it a few times myself. Nothing like hot coffee & Krispy Kreme's as we motor up thru the fog. Is this heaven? No...it's Taneycomo.
  20. I sincerely have my doubts it is the difference between a goose egg and a smile for you Mikey... but the modesty suits you well.
  21. I haven't sold any yet. Pretty sure thats what I want to do but havent been in a big hurry. I hope to take an inventory, do a little homework over the winter, and then proceed to move them. My prayer is that someone gets them who appreciated them like my Dad did.
  22. My Dad passed away and left me a bunch of shotguns; mostly Remingtons and Ithaca's...12 & 20 gauge's. He also left me a Winchester Model 70 Boss .30-.06 deer rifle (beautiful gun) and a semi-auto Remington .22 with scope. I don't know what else. I and my sons do not hunt. How does a person sell them? I want to follow all the rules & laws. I'd also like to not get totally screwed on them. That said....any advise or help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  23. Congrats Fellas..... and to think....I sat at home watching Dancing With The Stars.

  25. Came down with a friend yesterday afternoon after church. Fished midges for the first time in a l-o-n-g time. We too, were amazed and thrilled to see the amount of midge activity last evening... Dimples, as far as the eye could see in the slot area. Did best, believe it or not, with olive midges in size 14.
