On Taneycomo...can you keep fishin after you keep your limit of four?

We're heading down to stay at Lilley's this weekend, and we're bringing boats. The question or concern is with the possible ice coming in tomorrow, and what kind of shape the ramps at Lilley's will be in on Friday? Just curious, how quick the ramps melt down there. Thanks in advance!

Making our annual trip to Taneycomo next week (7th-10th), staying at Lilley's. Looking forward to it, if there will be any other members down there, stop by and look us up.

We're heading down to Phil's this weekend. What should we be using below Fall Creek? I'm sure power eggs will work, but what about jigs? Thanks in advance.

Fillet them, cover in Andy's Fish Seasoning (1/2 Yellow and 1/2 Red seasoning mixes) and deep fry in peanut oil.

Who cares if Bill makes a penny off of the sale of a micro jig?!?! It's a free market society. I for one, who only makes a couple of trips a year to Taneycomo, appreciate the insight into what the fish are biting on, so my trip is worthwhile. So I appreciate both Phil, Bill, and the others on here that offer their reports on what the trout are looking for.

Phil, Are you going to have them in this weekend? The family is heading down to Taney over the weekend. Just curious.

Bill, I was using a straight hook with a chartreuse egg and white egg on it. I was very pleased that I didn't have but 2 swallow the hook, and I kept them. All the rest were hooked in the sides of the mouth, a lot nicer than the treble hooks.

No digital pics, just film pics, and they aren't developed yet. I'll try to scan some of them, then post them in a couple of days.

Fished over the weekend on Taney. We stayed at Lilley's. Fished up at Fall Creek on Saturday, boated close to 150 fish over the course of the day. Fishing chartreuse and white power bait/power eggs. We really enjoyed the wind and snow, but we were catching fish, and had a great time. No water generation either. Fished up at the dam Friday afternoon, caught a couple of nice rainbows on #18 zebra midges under an indicator.

A group of us are staying at Lilley's this weekend, looking to fish up at the dam Friday afternoon. With the weather forecast looking dry. Will they be running any water?

I like the forum. I head to Taney once or twice a year. We'll be down there next weekend, staying at Lilley's, we're looking forward to it.
