  3. lilley, you said above that you have caught whites in beaver up to june..my question to you is when the spawn is over have you ever followed the whites back to the lake and will you catch fish all the way back down the river...most people say that right at spawn when the fish stop biting, they quit fishing in the river...will the fish start biting again up in the river a week or so after the spawn?? i was wondering if you could catch them as they go back to the lake???

  6. i was fishing at Big creek, my dad likes to put in there because he doesnt have to pay to use the ramp, he says his tax dollars built that lake and he shouldnt have to pay to use it..that's just my dad (84 yrs old)..we usually fish big creek in the spring and summer, but i think that i am going to try elbow creek this winter, the only problem is that i have never laid eyes on that part of the lake. if anyone has any good info about elbow creek that could be useful, i will take all i can get..i have learned alot about crappie fishing from a buddy of mine in the past 3 yrs, but that is up at stockton (dirty water) not bull (clear), a whole different ball game..it was good to talk to you DC, good luck on your future trips..
  7. went to bs saturday with my dad and a buddy, didn't do too good but did catch some fish..wound up with 3 keeper crappie and a bass. crappie were about 11"-12"..fishing channel banks, found brush in about 40' and the fish were right on the bottom..saw 2 bald eagles which was a nice sight for me..all and all it was a great day to be out on the water..hope to see more posts on bull shoals this year because i plan on fishing a bunch this winter..
