    Tough Day

Started at 6:45 off at 2, fished from Rock Creek to almost Kings, 15 total kentucks, 1- 16/12 incher the rest were 13-14 inch chubbers. Could not find the afternoon windy point bite. Boy there were lots of boats running the lake for the Derby. I would hate to have there gas bill. Most on War Eagle mouse blade and a few on spook Jr. Chrome. Duck.

  8. Book Bill for a day and have him TEACH you. You do not need to catch a lot of fish with him just LISTEN and LEARN. My pard and I did a few times and does it pay off. He's tops. Duck
  9. Put in at Viney at 6:45 and beat the heavy fog down to our first place and then got socked in till 9;15 caught 6 on Spook Jr. in chrome and Chug-R, and 2 on a blade. Then it was our milk run to other places, would pick up one here one there on the blade( War Eagle, mouse). Was ready to call it a day when the wind and some clouds moved in about 1. We were on a point and the surface went mad, we fished top water and a grub and even a little silver rattle trap till 3. All told 30 blacks with 4 measured and returned keepers, half of the fish came off the last point in the last 2 hours. Glad we stay. Duck.

    Foggy

Man was it foggy this am, put in at Viney at 6:45 with GPS on, I need to trust it and not my sense of direction because 3 minutes after we left we saw lights and a buoy, yup, right back at the ramp. Now I let it do the driving and we got to our starting point after 25 minutes of idle speed. We ended up with 21 short blacks, 2 short smallies and 1 bream. Some on top others on drop shot and spinnerbaits. When the fog lifted at about 10 the bite was all but dead. Water temp 67-69. What a pretty lake. Duck.

  16. Put in at Viney at 5:45, started with spooks and pop r. Did ok till 7 am then the top bite stopped. Fished different spots down to the mouth of the Kings with drop shot and some spinner baits ended with 21 blacks but only 1 of keeper size, almost all the others were 14-141/2 inchers. Lots of fun and great weather. Off the water at 1. Great Macho Nachos and cold brew at the Office Pub on the way home. Duck.

    Ramps

Man I'm sure glad you did not say anything about Aunts Creek Ramps. If there are no fish, why even go there. Some fibbin guys may have told me to go there. It is so nice to have your valued input, I'm at Holiday Island and just think how much gas and time you saved me. Lake is high and current is swift here, stained and debris, current heavy. I hope all on the lake this weekend will be careful. Duck

    Ramps

Want to fish the Dam area before Mr. B catches all of them and need to know what ramps are usable. Thanks, Duck.
  23. Could be E bridge, not very well acquainted up there. It was the first bridge up Rock creek. Duck.
  24. Put in at Viney at 7:30 am and fished Owl and Rock Creeks, the water got clearer the farther back you went. In Rock we went up past the highway M bridge. Total, 11 Blacks with one over 16 inches the rest 13-14 inches, all were eating well with fat bellies, 1 bream and 1, 16 inch crappie. All on either white spinner bait or smoke scrounger grub near brush. Water temp 63-65. The main lake was still muddy with some debris, and we had no luck at all there. Want to try dam area when weather allows. Duck.
  25. Put in at Holiday Island with no problems, fished in big coves down to Eagle Rock, water temps all near 54, good looking water with a nice stain. Nothing deep in the back of coves but main lake brush did manage 2 dinks and one over 4lbs. We did not find many at all on the fish finder, one here and there. Darn but it was nice to be back on the water. Not much debris but still be careful and keep you eyes open. Duck.
