  1. pretty good video......also try drilling a few holes in the blades as well. One thing I would add to that video is to crimp down the rivet that holds on the blade. you can also tak a file and rough it up a bit. this adds a ton more squeak and noise to the bait.
  2. They don't make their own tackle, but sell the best stuff on the market at pretty good prices. The Ozark Source in Cuba MO. also go to www.theozarksource.com, but I noticed they don't show everyhting that they carry on their website.
  3. POOP is a funny word though
  4. they aren't on a lake....they opted to build on one of the 3 acre lots in the woods. really secluded....pretty nice. Cool area with all the amenities and such. would be a fun place to retire
  5. that's funny
  6. Gonna help the wife's grandparents list their "lake house" at Terre du Lac near Bonne Terre. Pretty sweet setup with something like 13 private lakes to fish, a country club, and many other association ammenities. They are the original owners, and just don't use i anymore. Very good condition. Not lakefront, but secluded in the woods on 3 acres. Can get more info if interested.
  7. If you've paid any attention at all, this happens every year. It happens after a lot runoff from spring rains and can be caused my many things. I love how everyone thinks that LOZ is sooo polluted. Last year, Pomme de Terre also had beaches close due to E-coli, from flooding and I think Truman the same, but not positive on Truman. Is it the cleanest? no, but I don't beleive it is nowhere near as bad as many think it is. Many of those pipes seen are runoff and gutter lines that run into the water.
  8. Big jigs to be is 3/4oz. I hear you on folks being tight lipped.
  9. Kayser where was that at? sounds a lot like what I was trying to do. Just didn't find points that had fish I guess.
  10. Saw the results from the Anglers in Action tourney on Pomme. Something like 48 boats and if my memory is correct, only one or two teams without a limit!!! Sounds like the fish are pretty active....anybody have a current report?
  11. Not only is the boat traffic bad, AND it tears up your boat (yep new chip out of the boat from waves and dock), but I have been having a heck of a time locating fish on that lake. Went today, postspawn, heavy generation, pretty predictable pattern (or so I thought). I jumped main lake points all day long. Bluff points, long flat points, channel points, with little success. Couldn't get bit on a DD22, only dinks on a spook, best fish (5-6lbs only bright spot of the day) came on a football jig. Only caught 2 other keepers to add to that......in 7 hrs of fishing when folks are weighing 20lbs in 3.5 hr tourneys......It's killing me.
  12. Little more info may be needed. Shouldn't be a problem, but 200hp isn't actually that much for a 20 ft boat. What size prop do you have? Could be that your prop is pitched too high. Like mentioned earlier, play with the vent plugs in the prop if it is a tempest or trophy plus prop. Also, how does it perform otherwise? for example at wide open throttle, what is the rpms? this info can help get you more dialed in. The hotfoot really shouldn't have anything to do with it. the only thing that a hotfoot may have any influence over holeshot is if it is not adjusted correctly and not opening the throttle fully.
  13. Thanks guys.....MOPanfisher got a hold of me and thanks. I am kind of torn, as I was quoted a new dock would be $20K so I know $15K won't build a new one, but it would easily cover repairs that would ever be needed. The only time I would need the full $20K is in an instance of total replacement. May have to get quoted to up my coverage.
  14. 1997 Nomad by Skyline 27 ft pull behind travel trailer. sleeps 6, good condition and everything works good. Water heater, fridge, furnace, A/C etc. Awning replaced close to 2 yrs ago. "Camper" queen bed and 2 bunks. table folds down to bed and sofa pulls out also. Pics can be emailed upon request. $5000 obo price is negotiable
  15. Covered with one slip...no lift just a standard dock with a roof. I was told by one person $20000 to build new.
  16. What would be a good amount to be sure we had a dock insured for in case of replacement? I got quoted at $15k for dock coverage, is that about accurate?
  17. Went and checked it out. the mobile is a 2001 that was moved in in 2006. Very nice and clean and has a dock. One end seems to have settled just a touch (it is on blocks, not permanent foundation) which I think is the reason there is a decent crack in the ceiling. other than that looks to be pretty good. Just have to check into the costs of re leveling and fixing the crack.
  18. In the infant stages of looking at a lake house on Pomme. Being 2 hrs away, I want to take my time and check out everything I can think of......What are things to be sure and check while I am there? thanks
  19. anybody use the new Alpha buzzbait by Omega? Heard it is an awesome buzzer
  20. Dutch, I am on staff with them and have some here in MO. Let me know what you need!
  21. Long story, but after selling our previous lot, my wife and I are back in the market looking for another lot on Pomme de Terre. Let me know if you are aware of anything.
  22. Anybody know a ballpark range for the costs associated with setting up a lake lot? For example, a lot that needs RV hookups, septic, and water???? How much does installing a septic run? thanks
  23. Fished USA Bassin on Pomme last year. good low cost tourney. I think I am fishing USA bassin on LOZ this year though. Might be able to hit a couple of them on Pomme
  24. Haven't been on Pomme since the dam has been done and they started releasing water. What are the bass up to? any reports?
