Can anyone guess as to when they will run this year. And also im looking for good spots to go this year im thinking of putting in in monte ne (on beaver) and heading up torward the white. also what do yall use when they are running.
i would like to know what happens as well. im just posting because its been days since anyone has posted in this forum. Id like to encourage people to post more often. happy friday to all. ill be below the dam on sun mornin... cheers
We went last sunday and didnt pull one fish out of the water. Kind of a strange day. I hate to see that people are fishing illegaly, did you not ask them if they were aware of the new law changes?
I think i might have said something.
I live in Rogers as well. We had about 65 to 70 mile an hour winds (approx).
Had to get our 3 year old up and i grabed my 17 month old son in the closet.
He didnt even woke up. I didnt see any tornado but the weather man said take shelter so i did so. the sounds outside were scary for about 10 min. After that the sun came out and it was a nice afternoon. Glad to hear everyone is safe... Its only the begining.
yes that is correct. i always make sure im aware of fishing laws.
this weekend we are going to go about it a little differnetly. just two of us and im thinking about bringing the kayaks. If i put in just below the dam. is there a good place to take out. Ive got an anchor so it may just be a good way for me to find other spots near getting back up stream will not be hard, unless there is generating.
sorry if i angered anyone by fishing with "bait"
thanks again for all the info
whats funny is i did. I stoped on and bought a cooler ice and a mountain dew.
Next time i will mention Ozark Anglers.
We had such a good time we may be coming back this weekend
As topic says three of us went fishing sunday morning. We arrived about 6:50 and headed down to the water. We fised off the rock pretty much right below the darn. We are not fly fishers so we were useing power bait early in the morn as well as corn (barbless hooks of course. Greg caught a fish on the first cast and Mike was doing very well also. I however didnt catch anything untill about 2 hours. Then my luck changed. I caught two with a gulp product i was useing. about 9:30 it seemed like feeding habits changed so i switched to a rooster tail (single barbless hook that i rigged) caught a few more untill about 11:00. Greg caught a 16inch brown that was very nice and of course we let it as well as all the browns we caught go back in the water. Needless to say it was a great morning. We caught around 25 fish total out of the three of us. Hope you all have the same luck soon. Here is a pic of what i brought home. I really wish i would have taken my camera, but i forgot it. Its hard to remeber everything that early in the morn. pic is in the link

I live in rogers and the lake is super low right now. Monte Ne is somewhat above water well there are are alot of things above water right now. Im not really sure exactly how the fishing is but i went out about three weeks ago to rocky branch and had no luck. I dont think i was fishinf deep enough. But really the reason i went was to take my new kayak out so no worries. heres a coulpe pics
a couple more
ok so now after 2 straight weeks of snow on the weekends im planing (for the third time) to make is below the darn.) i hope its a little warmer and cloudier than today.
if you are in rogers bentonville area take head west on 12, go through gentry,
after that you want to take a left on cripps road. that road will take you to the boat ramp (really its a gravel bar) ... refer to pic in previous post
THANKS FOR THE UPDATE...
ok what is this ice and snow going to do for fishing below the darn?
when it melts that is. ive been planing on heading that way for two sundays in a row and the weather has held me up.
weather permitting I will be there on sat or sun ... is the store open on sudays? thanks again for the info ... hope to see yall real soon
I grew up along this river (just outside of verona mo) and i have never seen a pickerel.
Doesnt mean they are not there. Anyone do any fishing around verona beach??? lol

Today i used google earth to find the lake but still, thank you for the directions. If you havnt used google earth there is a free version at www.earth.google.com i tried this out a few months back and northwest ar did not have much data at that time. But today i noticed that you can zoom into your house if you want to.
topo info has also been added. needless to say not much got done today at work.
i guess the only question is were is the exaust (or anyother good locations to fish) FROM THE BOAT LAUNCH??
