went fishing yesterday around 10am. it was slow and they started generating around 11. right before 11 a green helicopter flew by, circled then landed. Is this fish n game or is this it owned privately. I highley doubt that fish n game could afford to fly around during the winter monthes for anything. also it landed right on the other side of the river from the cabin and walk in trial to the trophey area. just curious also i guess they didnt actualy generate yesterday ? the horn blew i know that much

Wrong person then. I was parked at the bathhouse and walked down river due to the river being so high. I usually park at the dead end and walk up river but it was still a little too high for that. Maybe we will meet another time :cheers just look for the guy with the big butt camo waders :lol

cpriest might have seen you yesterday were you by change with two other people in the truck ? parked by the bathhouse ? if so that was my fat butt in the the accord fishing yesterday was slow kept using the blue dun migdes that have been working. Only caught 5 or 6 but they all seemed a bit bigger than usual. It wont be too long untill egg patterns work ( if they are not working already )

Three years ago i started fishing on an almost weekly basis. Then i was just panfishing and fishing for trout with a spinning reel and rod. About a year into my fishing i really really wanted to learn how to fly fish. My father had about three setups ( fly rod and reel ) so I asked if i could use one of them being he never used any of them. Its pretty funny to think about how and what i was doing while fishing. Hell i caught my first fish on a fly rod without fly LINE (yes i was unawear that i was using backing tied to a leader). Since then my knowledge of flyfishing has come along way. A Lot of that has to do with forums such as this one and the advice from people on the river or in fly shops. That being said i know for a fact im not even close to knowing the half of it and thats what excites me. Im going to start tieing flys this winter. And some time in the furture i would really love to learn how to make custom rods. I have started countless hobbies and quit becuase i gotten bored with it. Fly Fishing as far as i look at it doesnt seem like it could ever get boring. Im young and i cant wait to learn more and this time of year its hard to keep my butt outta the water THANK YOU Ozark anglers from the streets to the creeks

I fished sat and sunday just up river from the cabin in the lures only section (catch n release). Fished both days untill about noon. Had some pretty good luck considering my cast isnt too grand. Caught about 6 or 7 on sat. But then got into them yesterday i stoppped counting. Most were small rainbows i did catch a hand full of 13" to 16" maybe one or two over 16". All were caught on a blue dun midge with silver wrap. Like i have said this is my favorite time to be fishing on the water. Here are some crappy cell phone pics from this weekend cheers

Nice to see people posting in this section of the site. Fished last weekend and the blue duns were working great. I also had luck with red/silver migdes. Its my fave time of the year to fish and i cant wait to get out tom morning.

Although i have never seen so many deer in one day as i have on the way to the beaver tailwater on sat ... jesus they were running like their lives depended on it also saw some cats hunting at dinsour world you would think those concrete animals would be east to shoot sounds a little too easy to me :drama

Another way that i have patched booties or neoprene waders. Get a product called Aquaseal. Thurn your waders inside out and apply a healthy portion along the seams ( this is IF the seams are whats leaking) hang over night to dry. This has also worked for neoprene gloves. Stuff works IMO .. but what do i know

Im not really sure what your looking for BUT i use a 4 pound ball anchor thats covered in a plastic coating. its held me in place before in running water but i mostly use it to keep me in place while fishing a certian area. I mostly fish below the dam also it its exactly what i wanted i picked mine up at sportsmans wearhouse for about ten bucks, lately i have been using from the back of my kayak but i think im going to try the front next time. IMO carrying around 10 pound plus anchor is more of a hassle then anything

Can someone give me an update on the conditions below the dam? its been about a month and a half since i was able to go due to me finishing up costruction documents for the berryville schools. last time i was down there the moss was getting pretty thick and the fish seemed to be pretty full and not biting as much. Update anyone anyone ???? its about time to put the kayak in the water :rock
