Well I haven't posted about my experience on kids day. I have never seen so many people trying to fish in my life. Kids climbing on rocks in front of my daughter while she tried to fish. People from the other end of the pool casting at my feet. Chummers, I saw a couple MDC guys having a very stern conversation with one of these guys. Stood next to a guy that was trying to teach his son how to snag a fish. He was a real winner. Stood in line for 30 minutes to get a hot dog and the 1/4 mile line moved about twenty feet, went to McDonald's. Got to the t-shirt line too late, no more t-shirts. All the time dragging a very disappointed 8 yr old along. We finally caught her a few fish. One up with all the crazies, it was a nice fish for her, 17 inches. And she landed a couple farther down in the park on a flyrod.
We finally gave up and went to Flat creek in search of some crawdads and rocks. She had a great day and I really enjoyed the time we spent together. But we have both agreed to pass on the next Kids day and go on a float trip instead.
By the way, Tiffani gave up a day at Silver Dollar City to spend it with her dad fishing. She is one of the best fishing buddies I have ever had.
