  2. I have not fished TR in years, but accourding to Bill's reports-Now Is The Time To Fish! I'm having a real problem living down here. I told the wife in November that the fishing was just about done. Then I find out there is a rainbow run. After that the water came up at Taney, and I found out about the wonderful fishing at the trout parks during the catch and release season. Now I'm learning about the walleye run at Powersite and the great bass fishing at Table Rock happening right now. Oh and by the way, they started not generating again at Taney. So much fishing to do, I dont have a chance to tie flies anymore. And getting some sleep---Forget about It Oh, I almost forgot--I love fishing Taney in the snow! duckydoty

  5. I was supposed to take my son and all of his buddies fishing today, but they chickened out this morning. They were scared of getting cold. Well, I had all the stuff packed, and I aint scared of a little cold, so I went by myself. Pulled in the parking lot around 7:45 A.M. and got my things together. Decided to start with an olive pine squirrel conehead at the metal bars below the outlet. There is a monster sittin under there. Got him to take a look one time, but he never committed. Caught two 14" right off the bat and spent a long time trying to work the big one on every streamer in my box. Decided to move up to outlet 2 and changed to a blood midge. Tore them up there. Went to outlet 1 and caught a few. Ran into rvconrad and talked with him for a while. He has some great stories of monsters he caught this catch and release season. Decided to go all the way down to the bridge and see what was in the water. Saw quite a few large ones. I guess they all had sore mouth fron Leonard on Friday and they didn't want to play today. Ended up leaving at noon and had a great time. Terry, I was looking for ya Duckydoty

  15. If you can get the skins at Hobby Lobby for $4.00-------Does anyone have any good tips for making strips????? Whats the best way to cut the strips without cutting and loosing all the hair. Do you cut with razor blades from the hair side or the hide side? I can go through some whole hides real fast when I get to tying up bunny leeches. Duckydoty

  23. I finally remembered that Jeremy Hunt held fly tying classes at Lilley's Landing on Tuesdays and it was Tuesday, so I figured I would go. Good excuse to get down to Taney and do a little fishing before and after the class. Started fishing around 5:30 P.M. and it was slow, slow, slow! Caught one on a dark grey sow bug, one on a zebra midge and one on and egg. Leonard showed up at 6:30 P.M. and I followed him to Lilley's for the tying class. It was very nice to meet you all and fun tying double bunnies. 8:30 P.M. and time to fish again. Still very slow. Ended up catching 5 more fish. 4 of them on Leonard's roo bug, and one on a primrose and pearl. I packed up and headed home at 10:00 P.M. Leonard, Did they start biting better after the moon came up? duckydoty
