Fished from 2 p.m. till dark from below outlet 1 down to the point. Wind was blowing hard and the sun was out. Caught 15 fish on a variety of flies. Caught some on slumpbusters, some on sow bugs, some one eggs and some on soft hackles. See ya'll down there in the morning

There is a good access to Marble creek south of Ironton/Pilot knob. It is the old site of a mill and now a park. Nice little creek and some other good ones near by.

My understanding with wading boots is you always order a size larger than your shoe size to allow for the neopreme bootie in the waders. That is how I order them anyways. It also makes it nice for the thick socks too.

I'm for the squid. Should help all the fish numbers by reducing the numbers of fishermen.
Some kind of apex predator that only eats herons would be another suggestion also

Just missed you Leonard. I got on the water around 1 A.M. Still 2 vehicles in the parking lot, but nobody up at outlet 1. Caught 11 fish up there then move down to outlet 2 and everybody had gone home. Fished till 4:00 a.m. and caught 47 fish on a dark hares mask sow bug size 14. Only fly I used all night. Wish I could get 47 fish on one fly all the time.
Dissappointed not to see any snow. Maybe tonight.

I have an extra pair of waders, can't help with the work thing though. ( I didn't think we were allowed to use language like that on this fine forum )

Anybody heading down tonight with all this great fishing weather we have on the way? I'm thinking about heading down about midnight and fishing till daylight. Might be a good time for some good pictures.

I have repeatedly talked with the conservation department and the Branson police department about this and you are allowed to hunt on Taney from KOA down to the Hwy 65 bridge then again from Roark Creek on down. You can actually get away with hunting infront of the landing but they would prefer you didn't. Now if you do hunt all of those stretches you might get yelled at quite abit, but it is legal. There are some very good spots to set up a boat blind below Roark Creek. Not to many spots I would feel safe hunting abouve Hwy 65.

I'm thinking I'll start fishing about 10 P.M. New Years Eve and fish right through the New Year. Might be a good day for some "Cast and Blast".
I'll have a couple of cases of Mountain Dew just incase anyone else wants to "get all jacked up on Mountain Dew and be on them trout like a spider monkey, Chip"

Ok, here's my night time prediction this week.
All the 20-24 inch browns you could want below outlet 1 throught the flats and then again below outlet 2 along the bank down through the riffles above the rebar on size 10-14 sow bugs and scuds drifted under a lighted indicator. Time to start trying the giant bead head midges again in size 10 and 12. Primrose and pearl should work good drifted under lighted indicators.
For you stripper club members - You cant go wrong with white slump busters and palmered mink both weighted and none weighted from the cable on both sides down to outlet 2. From outlet 2 down to the point white will still work but other colors might be better such as black and olive. Mohairs are always a winner in the "Ace of Spades" and "Blood Red".
Should be able to land a few 5-6 pound lap dances with those combos!
A few of the browns are still squirting eggs and starting to see some bigger rainbows.
This prediction comes with a money back guarantee!!

I have found that a 12 pack of Mountain Dew is the key to overcoming this situation
Some of these streamer flies can be tied as an articulated fly with a smaller stinger hook at the end. I usually cut off the main hook if tied with a stinger.

Went fishing yesterday and last night. Did OK during the daylight hours on eggs and midges. Did real well during the evening on white slump busters. Here's some underwater photos I took.
