  1. Since the lake is down, the fishing has sure gotten tough. Friend and I have been trolling the last two days and have caught 2 small eyes, lots on lmb, one keeper crappie and 1 blue gill. Sure hope the fall feed starts soon.

    Cat Fish

Thanks for the replys. Looking forward to hearing from you Ken
  3. How many of you bleed a fish that you are going to keep, right away? I have been looking for ways to improve the quality of my fish and according to some articles I have found, bleeding and icing are recommended for certain species, like trout. I have heard of this for crappie too but haven't tried it myself yet.
  4. Any one catching any cats? My brother in law want to go jug fishing and I don't want to put jugs out in a poor spot. I need my sleep!! Thanks Lonnie
  5. GREAT FISH! I bet they sure tasted good.
  6. I finally got to go fishing Sunday. It was great! I caught several LMB, 2 SMB and 1 small walleye. Got a little sun burnt but I don't care. After baby setting for 3 months the quiet was wonderful. Now if I can just find the fish again, I'll be in heaven.
  7. does any one have a gps puck for a 997c for sale? IT HAS TO WORK. I want to install one on the front of my boat for the trolling motor. Thanks Lonnie
  8. Thanks Sam, I will try these spots and lures next time out.
  9. I am thinking about trolling the Tucker Hollow area for walleye this year. Any areas that I should give a close look at ? I haven't fished that area yet. Thanks Lonnie
  10. Phil. Where is the map you talk about? I did a search and didn' find it. Thanks Lonnie
  11. clean up team. the banks get really trashy with everything that comes down from up stream.
  12. Is there a team for the upper bull? I would be interested in joining one.
  13. Any body catching any Eyes or has white bass fever gotten to every one? Cold fronts seem to have slowed bass down and was wondering if the eyes are still spawning?
  14. Now if AJ w0uld only give gps cooridnats. LOL Water depth would be helpful also.
  15. You guys chasing trout should of been at Bee Creek today. I caught a nice 14 in Bow today while trolling for whites and crappie.
  16. My wife and I went out this evening, checking the coves and creeks below Hogan. Went to mincy creek first. Lots of bait but the only bites were most likely blue gill. Felt that way. Then we went to Bee Creek and went all the way back to where the raod comes in from the south. Lookin for whites, crappie mostly. Caught a couple small white males, 15 1/4 in lmb, nice size gill and a 14 in trout. What a surprise that was. It was full of eggs. I didn't know there would be any trout in that part of the lake. Turned it loose cause I don't like their taste. Nice Bow though.
  17. Thanks Guys. I really appreciate your in put. Any favorite crank baits?
  18. Do any of you guys that fish the Bull ever troll for crappie? Which method do you use, spider riggin or long line trolling? Which is th most effective? Thanks Lonnie
  19. Wife and I went for several hours this evening. No whites, largemouth, crappie, walleye. My wife caught several nice bluegill on a little crankbait. Bout twice the size of a june bug. Bank fisherman were catching gills also. Tried every color and size with out any luck. Lots of shad though. Might be spawning? Come On Warm Weather!!
  20. Since I am pretty much an all species fisherman, except trout. I don't care how big this forum gets, just as long as you keep telling me about the fishing on Bull Shoals. I do wish there were more reports from the Lower section as I like to fish down that way too. I already pick and choose what I want to read but sometimes it is interesting to find out what is happening around us. This belongs to you and I really appreciate all the info and your help. Hammer On!! You are at the Wheel!
  21. what is the proper way to deploy a chene anchor? with the rope next to the flukes or out at the arm end. Thanks
  22. Now you have me curious. I whipped out my hum dinger BP map and cant find Silver creek or Wheeler hole on it. There is a small creek that comes in from the Powersite side. Is this it? Is the Wheeler hole that area that has sand bars on the Forsyth side across from the creek? Thanks
  23. The ice and snow melt off has dropped the water temp about 2 to 3 degrees. Wife and I tried several places and baits. Could'n buy a nibble let alone a bite. Was a nice day out anyhow.
  24. get a digital tm. it will make the batteries last a lot longer.
  25. Need to resupply. What are some of your favorite jig styles and colors for cold water and warm water? Thanks
