  1. Thanks Yeah its gonna be a hot oil bath for sure.
  2. My friend caught this walleye this afternoon in Beaver Creek throwing smoke colored swimming minnow with black spots. It measured 34 inches long and weighed just over 10 pounds. We finally got the skunk monkey of my boat on FRIDAY THE 13TH.

This boat is lake ready I take it out every weekend. I am selling due to medical bills. I dont need help selling or any other B.S. Cash sale only no trades. Price is firm. You wont be dissapointed in this boat. I LIVE 1/4 MILE FROM LAKE SO WE CAN TAKE IT OUT FOR RIDE. I can email pics to serious buyers.
  4. If you have an adult in each canoe I wouldnt sweat it. Like Wayne said water is only 8 to 10 inches deep. Just go over it straight on. after u get over it and look back it will seem silly to have worried about it. BUT ALWAYS GOOD TO BE SAFE. I can remember 2 spots where the creek narrows up and current could push ya against a tree, but you can see it way ahead of time so a few good strokes of the paddle and you are by it. Have fun I have taken my daughter in a canoe on this float since she was 4 and never felt unsafe.
  5. Paddling back would be a chore as there is a few spots that current gets strong. We leave a vehicle at the take out spot. float down and when we get there we drive back and get the other truck.
  6. Yes the old mill dam is just upstream of the bridge about 300 yards or so. It is about a foot drop there but if you stay all the way to the right and hit it straight on it is not a problem.
  7. We spent 6 hours Tuesday on this float but we waded and fished alot. No dragging right now and river is clear no log jambs only a couple of spots where you need any paddling skills at all. Good float for kids. We caught a lot of short bass of all kinds. Should be able to catch some whites at the end of float. Have fun let me know how ya liked it. I
  8. A good float on Beaver is Jobe Hole to the park at Kissee Mills. It is about 3 miles and a good fishing section. To get to the put in spot go east on Hwy 160 about 3 miles or so east of Kissee Mills park to Cross Timbers rd. Turn left. Go till you get to a low water bridge, cross creek and turn left again. Go about 400 yards and turn left once again crossing another low water bridge. Beaver creek is on your left. I just floated this section yesterday and water level is good. Have Fun.
  9. Hey Jeff you guys snaggin from the bank or a boat? I was at Blunks all last weekend and couldn't even hit one. Guess I was a week early.
  10. I dont know where you are coming from but speedee's gas station in Galena is the cheapest I have seen. Hooks for 69cents 10 ounce sinkers for 1.79. Bass Pro is over double that.

  21. THEY WERE BITING LIKE CRAZY WHILE WATER WAS RUNNING WHEN IT SHUT OFF SO DID THE BITE LAST NIGHT. CAUGHT A FEW MORE AFTER WATER CALMED BUT PRETTY SLOW. CAUGHT MOST OF MINE AFTER MOST PEOPLE LEFT FOR THE NIGHT AROUND 1030 TILL MIDNIGHT. PURPLE IS THE COLOR.
  22. THIS IS HOW WE ROLL DOWN HERE IN TANEY COUNTY. THIS IS JUST MY SHARE OF WHAT WE FOUND. TOTAL IN OUR GROUP OVER 1800 IN 3 DAYS
  23. I used to have a 16 foot flat bottom with a old suzuki 9.9 on it and on the james river when water was really flowing it was all it could do to go against the current. But we were loaded pretty heavy and the water was really up and ripping. Just my 2 cents.
