  1. I am going to the Naknek in Alaska in early September. I have followed the many posts on here and have talked to many of you. I think I am in good shape except for beads. I want to go ahead and get my beads. My question is .... for that time of year any recommendations on bead color? Approximately how many will I need for a week and in what sizes? Any recommendation is appreciated. I understand that one source is troutbeads.com and the mottled colors seem to be a preference. Maybe some of the local flyshops carry them also..not sure. thanks.

  5. Thanks for the info. It looks like they are also offering an October trip in 2009. You are correct on the availability....popular camp.
  6. Phil, How much better is the rainbow fishing in October than early September? I realize the crowds would be less and you said that the salmon are gone. Does this play into the better fishing with less food? Just wondering if as I have some scheduling conflicts with trying to go in October and was wondering about the differences in the time period. Sounds like a great trip. thanks.
