  1. It's worth the trip. See this post. Follow on facebook if you want future updates. http://chasinalice.blogspot.com/2013/03/everything-came-together.html?spref=fb
  2. The nitro and silvey's both look really fishy. I think I like the looks of them better than the patterns I posted! Going to tie up a couple. Thanks guys. No doubt Duane's catches fish too.
  3. A couple of caddis patterns for the hatch on the White River that will begin in a few weeks. I also have a great pic of the actual caddis larvae on the blog (can't get it to upload here). Take a look...pretty cool and you will know why these patterns have green in them. Lynn Chasin Alice Chasin Alice on Facebook
  4. Nice color on the cut's this winter on Norfork. http://www.chasinalice.com
  5. Another great fly for winter here in the Ozarks. Recipe and some comments located on blog. http://chasinalice.blogspot.com/
  6. Starting a new series of winter flies. Starting off with my favorite....BWO Emerger. Feel free to follow the series on my blog. http://chasinalice.blogspot.com/ I just started the blog, so not strong on content yet but will get there. There is a story on there of where the name of the blog came from and feel free to submit to the fish wall.
  7. Nice job as always. What video editing software do you use?
  8. I have used them before, but I am unable to find any current information. I can't find website or a phone number. It would appear that they may no longer be in operation.
  9. Is the taxidermy shop in Bolivar still open? I can't recall the name....maybe Big Fish Reproduction?
  10. I have seen a few of the videos that you guys post on here. Enjoy them all. Thanks for sharing. Any recommendations on software that you are using to create the videos?
  11. I will be going to the Bahamas in June of 2011. I have a wedding to attend and was thinking of taking 2-3 days after the wedding to bonefish. Any input would be appreciated. The wedding is in Nassau. I here the fishing is limited near Nassau, New Providence due to the number of tourists, etc. Anyone have experience in this area. If needed I could hop to one of the other islands after the wedding. Any recommendation on island, resorts, guides? Also, how is the fishing in mid-June? thanks for your help.
  12. Coming down to fish tonight and was wondering if the night fishing had been productive? thanks.
  13. What is the leg material? Looks like foam cylinders? Did you get that at the hobby store?
  14. Brian, That answers my question, and I had assumed that was the case. I have looked at the Olympus and am also considering the new Canon waterproof model. They just came out with it this year and it rates very high. thanks.
  15. Do you think that this will take as good a pics (5 megapixel) as some of the cameras that we discuss on here (Olympux, pentax, etc)? Or are you purchasing as primarily a video camera? I asked because I am in the market for a new waterproof camera for mainly still shots...but this camera is appealing.
  16. The new fishing section is open and fully stocked. It is on the back side of the boat showroom. They fly shop will be moving there shortly. Poor signs in the store to explain the makeover.
  17. Thanks Phil. I read your trip report. How do you think the low water that you were reporting will affect the Sept fishing for rainbows? More opportunities for wade fishing with floating line?
  18. For you guys that have fished the Naknek and surrounding areas......I have about everything that I need except for tippet and leaders. What is the standard leader and tippet setup/size for the rainbow and char in September? I understand the zip line rig that you have recommended, but what about the tippet size? I suppose I should also take some standard 9 ft leaders. Size? And, how much leader and tippet should I take? I appreciate your input....thanks.
  19. Thanks. Any other available? I appreciate anyone's help on this. thanks.
  20. I have camped at Bull Shoals State Park and the campground below the dam on the Norfork. Are there other campgrounds in that area? Mainly wanting campgrounds either on the White River or the Norfork that are near fly fishing water. thanks.
  21. I have used furled leaders for about 3 years. They do cast nice. I am sometimes a little suspect of the size (diameter) of the leaders and wonder if they are easier for the fish to see. I used them on the Frying Pan and its hard to tell if the fish were leader shy or it was my casting. The leaders from Feather Craft are large but they are wound tight and perform great. Anyone know how the leaders from http://dffurledleaders.com/ compare to Feather Craft. Any opinions or experience in using them on Colorado streams or the fishes ability to see them vs. normal leaders?
  22. I don't have the plyers. I will stop by. Do you still carry the Climax Zip Line?
  23. I didn't realize that Jim was on here. I spoke with him and got his information. Before I placed my order, I was just searching for any personal favorites that were succesful. Current order is for Tangerine, Orange Clear, and Natural Roe. Then maybe a pink color. That covers a good range. Do I need more than 1 bag of any color?
