  1. Like that Power Pro... Don't get the "wind knots" like with the SUPER limp braids....
  2. I have had one of these since they were only $ 17.95 (not sure but many years) and they have always been with + - 2oz.. Execept when the battery needed changed....
  3. I use wire # markers on my reels and they will last 2-3 years with no problems... They are about 1/4" by 1/2" and I place them on the reels in a spot that I don't use to hold the reel.... Lowes / Home depot etc have them -- about $ 10-12 and enough to do 30-40 reels...
  4. Hope this helps.....
  5. Great data for non crappie aficionados....
  6. I took the new "banana-shad" out for a test troll -- at @ 1mph constant ticking bottom in 24-25 FOW.... Maybe summer ????

  11. 1/32, 1/16 & 1/8 oz depending on the depth your fishing -- Dynamite in the spring and works good the rest of the year.. It can be slow rolled on the bottom with very few snag ups..... NOT TOBE FISHED ON 2lb LINE... I have caught 4.5lb flathead catfish, drum to 3lbs, carp to 9lbs, and have lost count of the WALLEYE caught on this lure....
  12. I use a set of ( insert big box store here ) ________ "cat fishing" combos.. The main thing that matters is getting the lure to the level of the fish.. I use a 10-2 or 20-4 braided line with a 3-5 foot leader of 10lb fluorocarbon.. There are a couple of good knots for joining the lines or a GOOD ball bearing swivel works.

" Father don't always know best " !!! Great job with the kids... If they learn to love the outdoors - they will hate the streets and nightclubs.....
  14. You can only use 3 "attended" poles ( sport fishing )... You can set poles with up to 3 hooks , up to a total of 33 hooks but they will be treated like a "trout line"..I.E. labled.. It is confusing !!!!
  15. You will have a couple of shallow spots on the west side but, stay 30-50 yards off shore = no problems....
  16. Every little piece of the puzzle helps..... Thanks for the report.....

  21. After 23 years in the military, I have always carried a "slow the problem down- till you can get professional help" kit. If packed correctly, it will fit in your pocket.. My first aid kit. Hemostats Scapel handle and sealed 5 pack of blades Knife ( not in kit but ALWAYS in my pocket ) Sterile Gloves Powered Asprin ( Heart attack ) Non-asprin Alcohol wipes Neosporin Gauze Band-aids ( 5 pack sealed ) Below is a mini kit I made for the kids and grandkids to carry in their cars and purses, which fits in a 3x4 zip baggie ...... ( the two green pouches are Neosporin in a 1/2 inch plastic straw with the ends heat sealed )
