  1. Are we talking Oct 24, 2010 ???? or maybe Nov 24,2009 ???? or ??????
  2. I found this board with a thread of "Duck Hunting NWA"... Seems to be current ( 31AUG09 )... Hope it helps... http://www.hogville.net/yabbse/index.php?topic=304567.0;wap2
  3. Like-Wise...Thanks for the report !!!!! Mike
  4. Good catch !!!! If you were a study of fish's sensors you would know that their primary sensor is their lateral line for vibrations in their environment... They can sense (feel) vibrations 10-20 times better than they can see , hear, or smell in the water environment !!! Now that you can get with in casting distances of the fish, try some of the techniques on this board and we will be looking for "tips" from you , as to what is happening at Stockton........ Good Luck....... Mike
  5. +2 Once in awhile these old eyes need a magnifier to count the lines on a drop off... But, best map for Stockton...
  6. I was able to get up to stockton weds and thurs... Wednesday -- Launched at 0620, caught 3 short LM by 0650, caught a 23" 3.9lb Walleye ( LM on 6' Hyper Tail worm- Plum ) ( Walleye on Norman LiL'N ) all on secondary points.. Fished till 1230hrs and caught and released 22-25 LM on same worm and secondary points in 7 different coves/creeks.. I had 5 that would keep biggest 5.92 lbs and 19"... I had total cloud cover till 1200hrs and no hits 1200-1230hrs.... Took my neighbor back Thurs.. arrived 0900 hrs (sun was up and out) we fished same pattern same places till 1500hrs caught a total of 5 LM and one just barely 15"....... SO ????????? One day they are the next they ain't !!!!!!!!! Mike
  7. ""Just got back.... WOW!!! what a day!!!!! My two sons, and my Dad and I hit the water with Don (Beaver fever guides) just a lil before 6am, took a short boat ride, dropped lines and we were done by 7:30am with a full limit of nice Stripers. Biggest one went 18 lbs. plus we had a couple more that went 15 or so, and the rest were 10 to 12 pound."" To better understand the current fish movement ... How deep were the fish ?? 1-10 feet, 10-20 feet, 20-40 feet or deeper ??? Thanks, Mike
  8. Ky3 tonite at 6pm said that the Zebra Muscles have "Invaded" Pom De Terre lake !!! Anybody know what and where they were found and what sanctions that the MDC is putting on the lake ????
  9. Thanks , I couldn't figure that one out....
  10. OK .. What or where is CDC ??
  11. Another vote for Power Pro ... I use #20 on my spinning reels and # 50 on my baitcasting... I ALWAYS put 50-75 yards of #20 mono backing on my reels !! That way you know when to start the BIG motor and start chasing the striper....
  12. I have a Eagle 480 and I can watch a 1/16oz crappie jig go in and out of a brush pile , down to 25-28 feet !!!!!! For a NON color unit it is great... on the "auto" mode is good but if you twek it to your fishing style it is Awsome Right now Cabela's has them for $ 199... ( Fishmark w/ temp ) URL Page http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/template...&hasJS=true Bass Pro has the same unit for $199 URL Page http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/s...0003000_250-3-1
  13. The state boys must have moved the dock up because, the end of the dock was about 4 foot above the water... the lake is/was about 5foot high...........
  14. We launched out of "Indian Point Campgrounds".. It is on the north side of Indian Creek when setting in the mouth of Indian creek looking up (West) into Indian Creek... It is the point due North of Lost Bridge North Marina/Campgrounds..Across the mouth of Indian Creek......
  15. The son was throwing a dark trout colored C10 and I was working a red & white "saltwarter" spook.... The fish were slapping at the lures more than trying to eat them........ We were working threequarters of the way back in the deeper coves off the main lake between Indian Point and the mouth ,on both ends, of the Island down towards the pumping station.... I think the fish we found were "strays" .. they were not schooled as tight as normal this time of year... But, the fish up here are not "on schedule" this year .... These fronts keep knocking them back a couple of days every time one comes thru......
  16. Thanks for all the inputs !! see "fish'n report 5/7.....................
  17. We left Monett 0430 which should have put us on the water at 0515, right at daybreak.... half way there we hit FOG and a caravan of 18 wheelers running 15-20 mph... when we got to the lake you couldn't see the end of the launch ramp for the fog.... we GPS'ed at idle and got to where the stripper's had been breaking for the last 30 minutes and I hooked one and almost got it to the boat ... I missed two more hits and my son missed 4-5 hits.... Then the sun peeked thru the fog and the day was over.... Of course we didn't believe it so we stayed till noon with out another hit , execpt a dozen 6-8 inch smallmouth.... Water temp=64-66..... Clarity = You could tell which side of a dime was up in 18ft of water !!!!!!!
  18. I fish walleye & crappie on my home lake (Stockton, MO)... I haven't tried walleye on Beaver.. When I go to Beaver, I am looking for "Topwater" stripper action - Nothing compares to working a Zarraspook and all at once someone drops a '58 Buick on the Spook and is headed for the bottom !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. WOW !!!! It should take 3-4 days for the upper lake mud line to get down lake... Thanks for the info....
  20. Anybody know the clarity of the water around Indian Point and down towards the pumping station ?????? The son and I are going to be there Thursday.... ( White Ranger "Walleye" boat with red and blue stripe- 175 Merc..)
  21. Thanks for the link !!!!!!
  22. See phone # above.........
  23. Between "fat fingers" and "senility"; I'm surprised that was my only mistake... Thanks for the catch !!!!!!
  24. Barnett's Pawn Shop in Garfield has 4 different size of bait... They have some 3-4 inch ( they call them striper minnows ) which I have caught striper up to 25 lbs.... most caught 6-10 lbs range..... thier 2.5-3 inch ( they call them bass minnows ) will catch stripers but, they really catch alot of smallmouth and kentucky's !!!!!...... (They get fresh bait on thursdays )... I also go down 37 and I usally stop there inless they are out of bait.. I call both Barnett's (877-997-5499) and Hook, Line & Sinker (479-831-8118) (in Rogers) to see what bait they have, before I leave home (Willard, Mo)..... I have been going to Lost Bridge area , every spring, for 12 years and I look forward to it more & more each spring.... If you have any other questions...Let me know..... Mike
