I bought a new rod this year, baitcasting. I ended up going with the new Shimano cumara. light weight and sensitive, I would put it up against loomis, st. croix, falcon, etc. I bought the 6'8", but wish I would have bought the 7'2". There is a gentleman on here who also makes custom rods, reasonably priced, but I cannot remember his name, maybe someone can help me out. As far as reels, I am a Shimano man. All curados here.

I am looking to upgrade my black light. What is everyone using? Any suggestion on what to buy, or what not to buy? Thanks

Went out on Tues. and fished from dark until midnight. Fished about everything and only came up with three bites and no fish in the boat Hopefully the deep water bite will turn on soon. Won't be able to get out for another couple of weeks.

Anyone been fishing lately? Will be up with the family this coming weekend around Bucksaw area. Hoping to bass/crappie fish. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We put in at Mill Creek and fished relatively close from 6pm to 11pm. Caught 3 short fish on a spook just before dark. After that, we couldn't buy a bite.

looks like you guys put in at Delaware town correct? Thought that would be a good place just up river, there is some deep holes not far from there. BTW, nice bunch of fish.

I stayed under my $200. All the reviews about them had nothing but good things to say. Looked at the Croix, but decided to stick with the cumara. BTW, I do not shop at Pro Bass!! -

Well, I went to Cabelas and settled on the Cumara MH 6"8 rod. It handles really nice. Hope to fish with it this weekend. It will take some time getting use to the foam grips, I usually use cork. Paired it with a curado -
There were a couple of night tourneys the first of this week, anybody have the results. We were on the lake, but couldn't seem to find the fish. Wondered if everyone else had the same problems. Seems the day bite is doing really well though.

Anyone been out lately? With the raise in lake levels, and the cooler water temps, wasn't sure if they had moved up yet. I plan to get out next week. I will try and get a report.

I did some surfing last night and am leaning toward the new Shimano Cumara. Anybody used one of these? My second pick is the Loomis GL3. What do you use? -
Long time lurker, first post. I am in the market for a new casting rod. I will primarily be using it for worm/jig presentation. I would like a 7'rod with lots of sensitivity. I will also be putting a curado on it. Any suggestions? I would like to keep it under $200
