  1. We ran down four a couple of hours yesterday after lunch. We brough back 7 keepers and cought a few more little ones. We put in at Longshoal and headed up the Tebo a little ways and fished back in the coves I talked about last week. Still in the same places, but back off the bank in about 6' of water, at least up that way. The water was beautiful with just about the right amount of color...not too clear but not muddy in the least. I haven't been back towards Bucksaw in a while, I usually rely on their report for info, they update it once in a great while on their website. Still caught them on the grubs, one on a little pond magic spinner bait. With the weather like this, though, catching is just a bonus...getting on the water is the real treat!!
  2. As they all said, the crappie are on the bank. We worried that the weather might knock them off, and I suppose it did at least early. We didn't get a bite until about 1:30 yesterday afternoon, but ended up with 10 keepers before 4:00. They seemed to be fairly consistent in 2' of water, rocky banks facing the sun. One kinda wierd thing (to me anyway) we didn't pull any out of the grassy areas, but if there was a break in the weeds, on bare rocks, they were there. All of our fish came from the Tebo arm in the coves across from the T-6 point. All were caught off of 2" white/char grub. Beautiful weather here...water was in great shape. Saw surface temps as high as 68 late on the sunny banks.
  3. Wow...great info. I wonder how the big gavel bar just up from Trout Hollow, by the condo's hold up? Seems like a bunch of reliable landmarks are gone... Kinda of exciting in a way, but sad in another...does that make sense??
  4. Well...Finally decided to quit browsing and start participating! I've been an avid sneaky reader for years, glad to get on board. I was blessed to be able to get my wife and kids out to the country a couple of years back and have a few acres about 1/2 way between work (fire marshal in the City) and my beloved Truman Lake (hence the login). I am looking forward to keeping you guys and gals from outside this area up on whats happening on Truman and the tailwaters once in a while. Only one thing better that chasing white bass in the summer on Truman and thats drifing down Taney in January. A bunch of us from all over, mosty KC and STL areas meet up down there as often as we can to bounce the bottom for a few days. Used to stay at the old Riverlake but have since migrated to Lilleys for the past few years. Looking forward to putting faces to names in the future. Thanks for listening...hopefully have good stuff to post after a trip to Longshoal in the morning. Take care.
