  1. I have two jon boats that I would like to have sealed up with a product on the outside. Is anyone offering this type of service in Southwest Missouri?
  2. Umm. Back to the fishing part. The intent of the forum is to provide help on topics of fishing. Some people like me are stuck in their offices all week and also have life events that prevent us from fishing as much as a lot of people on here. Finally, we get a free weekend and look to you guys to help us out. If you open up and share some things it really does matter. If you just want to get on here and brag about what you caught in "mysterious magical places" find somewhere else to do it because it doesn't really contribute. As for small streams. I agree that they get more pressure because they are smaller and usually more local. Locals are the poachers. They go back to the same REMOTE places until there aren't fish left to catch. Anyway, I've been away from the forum for a while and just reading up on some topics.
  3. I did and it saved me a small fortune. Might haul it back up in the future too.
  4. Are topwater lures effective around shorelines down around powersite for bass? If so which ones? What other lures are work well for bass that far down?
  5. nice pics good fish
  6. if I suspect my vehicle might be broken into I just take everything out that I don't want to part with and leave it unlocked. at least I won't have a broken window while they figure out nothing is in there worth taking.
  7. I want a pack or discovery 119 where can I get one? Dicks Sporting Goods has them online at $399 but then you add shipping $120. They don't carry them in store b/c an independent operator does their internet sales and it is an online specical.
  8. Did any information on this presentation get posted on the forum? I was unable to attend and I would really like to know what was covered.
  9. Yes I went last thurday and floated Bennett to Maggard takeout. This was a good float. I thought it was busy for a thursday but who knows. Lots of church groups and they were loud. At least they weren't drunk. Anyway. The best was when I was working a mud bank with a plastic worm and the kid's group leader decided to see who could skip rocks the furthest. Needless to say I was happy to leave with all of my teeth and the fishing was ruined at that spot. I did pu a nice smallie there. Other than that fish all others where caught on crawdad crankbaits. Not one on brushogs or flukes. I think my flukes were to big for that water and I couldn't get them to swim deep enough. Maybe I don't know what I'm doing with flukes but if I try them again I will put a small split shot in front of it kinda carolina rig like. Hope this helps somebody.
  10. What lb test line do you recommend and what size and color buzz bait? Thank you for your help.
  11. looks like I'm taking my jon boat and Silver Hill will send someone with ride with us to Woolum and bring my truck back to Tyler Bend. Is this a good fishing stretch? I'm taking plastic worms, baby brush hogs and crawdad jigs. Anything else I'm over looking?
  12. think about floating and fishing tomorrow and half day on friday. Driving down from spfd. Havent been here in years. What are canoe rental rates vs. bringing your own boat and being shuttled? One of us is driving from spfd the other fayettville what is a middle meeting point where we could have a nice mild float with good sm fishing? Thx
  13. Your right on the Royalex. I would settle for less if I can save some money.
  14. Wanting to buy a solo canoe. Royalex. Has anyone seen good deals on new ones? Would like to get a blem real cheap.
  15. Good Report. Most of the the problem boating won't read this report I'm afraid. As for my 2 cents I'm aware at all times what me boat is doing. I go to great extremes to control my wake...but I'm tired of people parking in a line straight down the channel from Short creek to the fall creek ramp and impeding my travel. We shouldn't have to idle that whole stretch. Again. Those people won't read this more than likely and they WILL get buzzed by me. Oh..Also I've seen total disregard for Kayaks and Canoes out there and that is some darn cold water.
  16. Haven't floated Niangua since 1995 and think I will go this week. Any advice on types baits to use for spinning gear. I've got baby brush hogs in pumpkin and soft plastic brown worms with pink tails on my gear now. Would like to limit what I lug out there to a minimum. Certain times of day better fishing? Hopeful that most partying fools won't be out there on a thurs. Any help is much appreicate. FYI maggards won't shuttle your boat up bc of insurance stuff, but you can drop your boat at bennett with you partner and take your car down to them and they will shuttle you up for $10. which is a good deal.
  17. Been off the forum a while. I just started fishing spfd lake recently only one trip so far. Where did you concentrate near bridge and upper river area or main lake grassy area? Thanks for your report.
  18. thanks for the video
  19. Phil beat me to it. None. You start going the route of banning feet disturbing the stream then you end up with no boats and no wading and it has no end. It is an ethical decision and there is nothing wrong asking the guy directly if he needs to do it to catch fish...bringing awarness...not more signage, more regulation. The purists need to go to remote blue ribbon streams way up North, not Taneycomo in Branson MO. LOL
  20. he should be ticketed or better yet put in jail and have his trout stamp revoked
  21. Well my 6 hp is too small for that lake and my 80 hp is too big so I've never gone.
  22. I just rebuilt my 14' richline took it out to spfd lake last week. Noticed a lot of water in it so yesterday I removed old caulking at seams ground the joints clean and reapplied caulk. As soon as I test it again I would be interested in your offer. I'll be honest I know nothing about either lake so I have nothing to offer except a boat ride.
  23. There are no hook rules on Taneycomo. Will you be fishing out of a boat or from shore?
  24. Help me understand your thinking behind color selection of micro jigs or even jigs for that matter. I have always used darker colors or ginger and I haven't thrown a lot of white and I don't know that I have ever used the pink micro jigs in my jig box.
