  1. rumor has it that things are heating up on Beaver Creek and also around the mouth of Swan Creek. Either place should provide some fly rod action. Personaly I would go to Swan. If you are not familure with that area. Look aroud the mouth of Swan Creek and if there is no action there go across to river run park and start up the lake. That road goes all the way to the dam and in the past during low water conditions it has been awsome for fly fishing.Good luck and let us know how you did!!!!
  2. 5 of us fished there Saturday. Everyone ended up with a limit of whites. We only had 1 hybrid. Also caught about 25 crappie 1 walleye some small catfish and 1 large gar. We have been catching a few hybrids but have not really targeted them for a while. I didnt see anyone just hybrid fishing.
  3. Three of us went to the Tailrace yesterday afternoon and had a nice trip. We all limited out on whites with 5 hybrids thrown into the mix. Also caught 3 keeper walleye any 2 crappie. We started about 1 and fished untill dark.
  4. My wife and I fished that area on Saturday. Caught whites from just below the bridge in Forsyth to Beaver creek. We did not find large numbers of active fish in any one area but some fish everywhere. We caught whites on 3 inch husky jerks thrown to the mud banks and also trolling rattle traps close to the bank. Also caught some crappie on 1/8 oz jig heads with 2 inch purple swimming minnows. I think I will be back down there on Wed. afternoon so will let you know how its going. It should be hot for the next couple of weeks.
  5. They were white bass fishing out it Oklahoma. The water warms up a little quicker out that way and it looks like things are about to be in full swing out there from the reports I am hearing.
  6. LOL. Phil. I dont know if I should be insulted by you thinking they were crappie or not .We caught the hybrids on LARGE creek shinners. My wife and daughter both had another one break them off. By the sound of there reels they were bigger than these 2. Also saw a guy catch a couple on lucky craft pointer.Looking foward to hearing from I sent Jeremy R. an e-mail this morning. He was in OK yesterday but havent heard back from him yet. I saw the post from Vince. Sonunds like things are heating up over that way.Just got a reply from Jeremy. Looks like they caught 90 and cleaned 60. Maybe we need to meet at his house for a fish fry.
  7. Made a run up Sunday afternoon to check things out. They were not running any water but it was not a complete bust. We caught a few whites, These 2 hybrids and my wife fowl hooked this spoonbill and yes it was promptly returned to the water. Sure was fun watching her land it on a medium action bait caster!!
  8. Those were the good old days.I grew up in the area and I remember night fishing the rock in the summer time. We launched at old 86 most of the time and normal we were the only ones there. If we did see anyone we knew them and you could fish every point from the dam to Long Creek and MABE see 2 other boats.. Try that now. I moved away for a couple of years and didnt get back into fishing for a while after I came back. First trip out I started to pull in on a point and lights came on. Started to the next point and more lights came on. I dont bass fish much anymore but I do miss those quiet nights on the rock!!
