You know how people send those forwards around that say: "Forward this on to ten people and a Box with the answer to the riddle will pop up on your screen" Or some such.. Notice how they never work? Well this one does, with 100% accuracy... Notice I took out the dirty words out of respect for Phil's forum decorum.. However if you want the complete pic for forwarding I would be happy to email it to you (you can probably guess what the dirty words were, LOL)

Sorry, what questions did he ask, exactly? -
How Is This Economy Affecting Everyone Else?
FishinCricket replied to jdmidwest's topic in General Chat
I am sad to report that the outlook isn't much better here, and it's a commission basis for me! I keep telling everybody that it could be worse... And that's very true of course (I am still selling a few cars).. But it sure ain't normal! And it could be alot better for sure.. I sell new GM products as well as all sorts of used, so you can imagine the road I have to pave for a customer to work with me.. And the customers just aren't coming in.. And I can't say I blame them! My wife is laid off, and as I said I work on commissions.. Things for round here (Lebanon) are looking bleak.. The factories in Lebanon are announcing layoffs and cutbacks left and right.. Division of unemployment is always full and NO JOBS.. People are plumb freakin out here! -
Here's what I wanna know... If "anything used for quick consumption" is illegal.. What about the beers with the indentation for a smooth pour? If I pop a hole in the bottom of the can and chug it, do I get arrested? What if I do it 5 times in a row (the equivalant of a beer bong)? And if beads are illegal, will they arrest my wife for wearing her fake pearl necklace? It's basically just white beads that make her sarong look good.. Anybody out there feeling me?

Poor aim is probably a main contributor to all those jigs that are hung on your customers lift hoses and boat covers... LOL -

Yeah I am getting the same issue (ie every time I connect from a new IP I have to log back in) I assumed it had something to do with the recent spammings..

I don't see the photo... -
Man, tell me about it! Absolutely fantastic! I would say about the best combination of elements in Missouri for the floater/fisher... No, strike that, reverse it... I can't wait til this summer, I'll be camping and floating, I am gonna hook a 6 pounder, I promise! The picture will be posted!

Greer Springs to Turner Mill, I think?

Well it's sunday, and the weather is decidedly sour for fishing.. But here I go... Just saw this thread and thought I would let you all know, that way if I don't come back the wife will be able to find out which river I went to and collect the body (fising pole still in hand)... LOL
-
I gotta tell you, this river is just amazing! Now that I have floated it a few times I will be more comfortable bringing a camera along in the canoe (my excuse for the lack of Photos) but WHAT A DAY ON THE RIVER!!! Like, 60 degrees outside, river completely to ourselves, bright blue clear water where you can see into the bottom of 20 foot holes.. Needless to say, the fishing was great! The very first hole we hit looked like it was 10 feet deep (it was more like 25 ft deep) and you could literally see 25 trout swimming around, clouds of goggleeye swarming on a root wad across the river, smallies slapping the top for bugs... it was the most beautiful thing I have seen in a while (other than the Beautiful woman in the front of the boat, of course).. We were on fish immidiately using a white 1/16th oz. Maribou Jig with a pink head (and a pinched Barb) and we never had to re-tie once. The largest trout we caught was around 17 inches, and I am proud to say that it was my wifes catch! In one hole I actually watched a smallmouth take my lure on the bottom in a 30 ft deep hole! An awesome fight and hooked two more right behind him! Wife was hooking gogglies all day and the occasional trout (with my guidance usually) Didn't really see anything resembling the "reds" that you were talking about Brian, but I will admit that I was selective about where I cast my lure.... Really was wishing I had a camera. Especially needed the camera about a mile into the float when we got a friend in the sky guiding us... There were actually three bald eagles, one that was young enough that he didn't have his white yet. One of the older ones stayed ahead of us downstream and showed me where the fish were. It was really awesome having an eye in the sky! He would perch above the deepest parts (presumably to feed) and would take off downstream when we got too close, leaving the best hole to us! Funny part was when we got to the take out, the eagle was there too (no hole below him, just the Driver) and when he saw us, the Eagle headed back upstream.... Cosmic... Either way, thanks again to Brian Sloss and the folks at http://www.11pointcanoe.com/ , You know there is no one else I will call (still threatening to get in the front of that drift boat!) In one sense I hope everyone reads this and floods you with traffic, and in another sense I cringe at the thought o the 11Point turning into another Niangua... (fingers crossed)

It's a scary thought, but so true. And so sad, humans aught to be more advanced than this by now..

Yeah I went back and re read my post and realized it may have sounded a little snipety.. Sorry bout that.. I have been a performer, actor, singer, poet, lauriat, and scholar all of my natural born life.. Currently I earn my wage I auto sales.. You were correct. But because of the way I act (I would have no problem being center stage in one of those shows you refer to) I have been mistaken as many things.. And usually by the sickos that park in public places with fruit on their dashboard.. LOL I don't want you to think I assumed any of those typical masculine stereotypes about you.. Just have a few friends who perform in Branson, so it hit a little close to home.. However, phils post right above mine here gets us back on topic... And that topic is: Something needs to be done about the pervs at the parks.. Maybe setting up video surveilance? Seems logical and cost effective. We could have a fundraiser Phil!!!

Yeah each zone has a different trick to it, it's fun figuring out what works and seeing the looks on peoples faces when it works for them... I'll be down there Sunday fishing for lunkers and goggleeye in zone 3 if you'll be around.. Always nice to meet someone new.. Just gimme a call...
-
Now, now.. As an actor/performer I must tell you that If you are going to make an extremely stereotypical statement like this one, at least call it what it is... An extremely stereotypical statement... I personally don't have a problem with your statement, just with your request for me to not see it as a stereotypical statement. I know lots of performers that are affeminite, but are heterosexual. There's a term for guys like us, it's called Metro... Just means we are a bit affeminite... I assume an affeminite Heterosexual is OK by you? But pertaining to the subject.... Here's a simple solution for getting rid of the nasty freaks (homo, hetero, or otherwise) here's what you do.. Get permission from the local law enforcement to post large signs that state: "THIS AREA IS SUSPECTED OF BEING FREQUENTED BY AN AX MURDERER" and then spend the next few weeks walking around in the woods in a trenchcoat with a big ax! Should solve the issue.....

Anyone Been On The Water Lately?
FishinCricket replied to moduck38834's topic in Bagnell Dam Tailwater/Lower Osage River
To answer you question, yes, the ducks were there a few weeks ago... Don't know what amount you are looking for, or what types, but I'd say I saw 30 in a 3 mile fishing trip downstram from the dam... -
thank you for locating that for me... People on this site are so kind..

Figures... I am going to find that Ranger and have a talk with him.. He needs to know the rules if he is expected/paid to enforce them.. He was nice enough though... Where did you find those rules? Or do you have a book you are quoting from?
-
I was "carded" today by a park ranger (while in the Suzy hole slayin' goggleeye) and he asked me if I was keeping the goggle eye.. I said "I'm not allowed to keep them, am I?". He said catch and release only applies to the trout... But then I asked what the length limit was on goggleeye and he said he didn't know and would have to check. And then got in his jeep (presumably to check the length limit) and just left! Now in all honesty, I believe you before I believe him, but I can't find the catch and release rules anywhere on the websites.. Any chance someone could help? I don't wanna keep em, but I would like to know the laws in case my nephew wants to keep a meal.. Either way I didn't keep any to be safe.. So they are still in there, and they are pounding the jigs!!!
