  4. I use a 21 foot G3 Deep V to guide out of on Taney, works very well! There are times you have to watch the water levels like above Fall Creek to the DAM when they are only running 1 or non at all, but everything else below to Bull Shoals DAM is just fine. I'm really starting to see an increase in the amount of these deep V boats running around, great boats, enjoy! Make sure you go check out the G3 boat line as well Lund can save you some $$$.. Good Fishing Don House
  5. Mr. B that is right on track! Cloudy and Windy days I will be on the Rock!! Sunny Clear calm days I will be chasing the silver fish for sure!! Hey was that you put the Ozark Anglers magnets on my van? Did not see them until I got home and put the boat away.. Good Fishing Don
  6. Coyote, Yes I was in Indian Creek as a matter of fact, Stayed in the Big Indian arm most of the time, about 1/2 to 3/4 back in the AM then left . But we ended up coming back into that area once the wind really got out of control! That is when the fish were just going to town, just like Mr. B did today with his post had to have the wind to get bit really good! I know I should have went back out today.. Next two days will suck bad with High sky's and calm days.. See you out there Don
  7. Had one of those hoo daddy days on the Water with one of my doctor clients and his wife.. We started out of Big Cedar around 9:00am in the Long Creek Arm, ran right across the lake to the first creek and found it to be slow in the morning, dead calm winds and blue bird skys not a good thing!! Started fishing with a split shot rig and a 4" Watermelon Cotton Candy French Fry and a Green Pumpkin Fish Doctor. Found smaller fish in the backs of the creek arms off of the main lake, we ended up about 3/4 of the way back into the creek arms and it seemed all fish were right on the bottom in 15 - 20 feet.. Here was the key for this type of fishing, all of the fish were hanging on the left front corner of the docks on the flats or right in the mouths of the spawning flats.. That bite lasted about 3 hours or until the clouds started to move in and the wind did blow!!! In a matter of 15 mins we went from no wind to well over 30 plus MPH winds on the main lake! We moved right over to the wind blown banks in the creek arms of Big Indian and started throwing a 3/8 jig head with a 5" grub in smoke and gold flake.. Fish were just waiting to kill this bait as it swam by! Any bank with big waves crashing into the banks had the fish just loaded on it.. This went on until well after 4:00pm with alot of very large fat keeper spots just flat eating this guy.. We had a 15" spotted bass that went well over 2 plus pounds, just fat and really eating good! Trick was to keep the bait moving along the bottom and watching the rod tip for the bite.. I would get two small light ticks then I could watch the rod load up, we never stop reeling in the bait or jerking when we felt the bite, we just allowed the fish to do all of the work! Really great day for sure now we did have just a few fish on the stickbait in the wind but the grub is what they wanted for the big guys to start eating.. Good Fishing Everyone!! Don House
  8. SD Nice Fish you have to love this time of year!! Tracy, Love the fish.. But I did not know you were 6'9" and your not really that fat?? So what did this fish come on? We need to get togehter sometime and trade notes on Long Creek!! Good Fishing Everyone Don
  9. BVP81, make sure you get a place to stay pretty fast, the lake starts to bookup really fast that time of year. Also the main lake area from the DAM to Kimberling City and up the White River should have a good swimming grub bite or a tube bite in June for the Small Jaws... Internet search on google will get you phone numbers and Eric's post gives you names.. Just about all of us guides down here can get you on some Small Jaws in June.. Come on Down and Enjoy.. Good Fishing Don House
  10. Moto, I would for this week go bass fishing.. Crappie are just not ready, even up the rivers let alone on the main lake.. I would say about 3-4 weeks out for main lake stuff but it might change.. We need a few good days of rain then very warm weather to rush things along.. Just go play and have some fun!! Good Fishing Don
  11. Main Lake was in the High 40's with the creeks in the low 50's.. 52 was the best I found.. Later Whack Don
  12. Yup, that is it!! Thanks Gabe.. Good Fishing
  13. Went out today and finally had a day worth reporting on Table Rock Lake.. Spent a full day fishing the stickbait and it paid off with two dozen very nice keeper bass for my clients and a few really nice kicker Blacks as well.. We spent our time in the major creek arms around Kimberling City, and found a pretty neat pattern that lasted all day for us. All fish found today were on the inside of secondary points in the main lake creeks about half way back in the creek. Points needed to have a steeper banks with larger chunk rock banks and atleast 30 - 40 feet under the boat. Long casts to the bank with sharp jerks and long pauses up to 30 sec count. Fish would just slam the paused bait. Fish were really loaded in these areas and roaming the shallows around ledges up shallow. The bait we were fishing was a Lucky Craft Pointer 98 Suspened at 6 foot. Not too sure about the name but it has a chart stripe along the side with a light purple top and white bottom. Was surprized as to how deep and how shallow these fish were today, had both right close by... All in All a great day Everyone had Fun in the Sun! Good Fishing Everyone...

  20. edwin when you get ready for the SI unit just drop me an email I wiould love to help you out.. Now as far as the front unit, I used my 957 Humminbird unit with an 8" screen and it works jusr fine. I'm looking at upgrading to the 11" unit for the front myself.. Not sure if it will help that much for you but it will for guys like me and eric.. Also when you get a chance stop by the humminbird web site and look over their 2-d units for vertical fishing, I love mine and feel they are much better with technology than anyone else, really ahead of there time, everyone else is just now catching up. Have fun and good fishing Don
  21. edwin, there is no big deal with the setup.. This one just makes no sense to me at all? I guess their is just alot slow folks out there with technology. And the new Lowrance HD stuff, well HB has had this for over two years now with the 2D vertical units it's just 200/83 mhz dual transducer with the premium mapping from navonics. Even with a 5" screen or the 10.5 inch secreen it should not matter, I've used them both... The yahoo site is for help, and alot of people need help!!! Heck I will help you with the setup if you are that worried!! Well good luck in finding one for what you like.. Good Fishing Don
  22. Stop by these and look them over all on Table Rock Lake, just in different areas of the lake. Kimberling City Area 1) Lake Side Resort on Table Rock Lake www.lakesideresort.com 2) LightHouse Lodge www.lighthouselodge.com DAM or Long Creek area: 1) WhiteRiver B&B (Very, Very Nice Place, Bill Bablers place) www.whiteriverlodgebb.com 2) Happy Happy Hollow Resort www.happyhollowresort.com Aunts Creek Area: 1) Holiday Hideaway Resort www.holidayhideaway.com Indian Point Area: 1) Stillwaters Resort www.stillwatersresort.com Cambell Point / Shell Knob area: 1) The Timbers Resort and Lodge www.timbersresortandlodge.com That should give you a few to look over.. Good Luck and I hope you find what you are looking for... Good Fishing Don
  23. Coyote, well not too sure what the used Lowarnce go for, you might want to look around some of the other sites on the web for used units and their cost. Once you get a price place it on Craigs List, I sell alot of things on there fast. Ok, well good luck I'm going out of town until late Jan so hope you find what you are looking for.. Good Fishing Capt. Don
  24. Coyote, I have seen it used both ways.. First Yes you can run all of these at the same time, if you have the room. There are alot of Pro's doing just that! Personnally I would get rid of my console or back Lowrance and replace with the 997 or 798 and used it for both SI and 2-D off of the back of your boat. You can run these up front for 2-d or deep water bite, which is what I do as well. But I do not used it for SI on the front on the trolling motor, you can do it, I just don't personnally like it, I get to much hard to read pictures on the SI.. You have to go slow and straight to make it work well, but it does work. Well I do sound like an add but I make my living with these guys and they do work very well, just ask Alton Jones he used his to win the 2008 Bassmaster Classic.. Hope answers your questions Good Fishing Don
  25. NONE!!! I have used them myself with no problems, so go for it!!! Don
