Some days, the fish will hit one color and won't touch the other. I've made it a habit to use select colors based on history and location. One bait will outperform the other. Only the fish can tell you why. I think some will dive deeper than others, color must make a difference but I suspect its due to the type of flash it creates more so than the color itself, and some days.......you can beat them in the head with a "bama rig" and they won't bite. I never troll a bama rig although I have before. I just don't feel like taking my wallet out and throwing it in the water. :-/
Definitely some nice crappie. Been a while myself since I caught any. They disappeared on me this year and when I do find some, they won't bite for me. At all. Not even on night crawlers or spoons. Uncooperative little boogers.
