To paraphrase the famous Jaws quote.... jaws clip: "You're going to need a bigger boat": "Youre going to need a bigger NET". Congrats dude. Just keep the location secret. I'm hoping to catch what's left Tuesday!! Lol. If they are still there.
  3. 1/8oz jig and a doodle? What's that?
  4. Keep in mind guys, walleye do not keep in a live well for catch and release. They expire rather quickly and unlike bass, they are much harder to release. So unless it's of legal size (18"min), don't keep it unless you plan on cooking it for dinner. Quickly release it vs trying to take bragging rights. It take 6-7yrs to grow a walleye to legal size or better typically. So a nice keeper walleye would grandfather a largemouth in age. And I have recipes if you need one. :-)
  5. Yep. Lord knows we are plentiful around here. An abundance of wise-.........people. lol!
  6. I was going to...........but I didn't touch it. Thought it might be contagious.
  7. It's the only logical answer I think (gar). If it was, it was a massive one for this water system. I mean super massive!
  8. If that's what it takes to keep a kid safe and find them even if some are over reacting or vendictive spouses.... .. Amber away I say. The important thing is keeping kids safe. if getting eyes on a car would get my kid found or back to me from a questionable situation.....I'd he thankful for the system. It works. For full on criminal situations and domestic.
  9. Probably. Glad the kid is alright though. He's only 2. Doesn't deserve to be caught up in all that mass and drama.
  10. Taneycomo squid......that's funny!! I just know I saw something as big as 6ft or better slashing the surface violently and way too big to be a typical large fish. I really thought it was a diver. But no other boats around and no diver down flags. Just me. And it......whatever it was. And the size of the arches was crazy. Wish had taken a photo of my graph. I may have. I'd have to dig through an archive to find it.
  11. That's terrible.......just terrible.
  12. Does a fish have gills?? Ya! Wings. :-)
  13. You sir just became my favorite member here. Lol!! I actually do enjoy the photos. Because I don't believe "squat" without documentation. Lol!!!!!
  14. I think the fish are used to seeing Flickers. As much as some people keep dredging the lake with them......uh hhmmmmm...... Lol
  15. You know you don't have to ask that. Only whisker fish aren't welcome in my rig. :-)
  16. If you can make it, you're welcome to ride in mine. :-) I've seen what you can do with a bass jig!!
  17. ^^ I'm liking it even better now.
  18. Atta-boy Phil!! :-) Get ya some bass thumb. And thanks for the support with trophies!!
  19. I'm so in. And I volunteer to help out with this. Least I can do.
  20. Did snagging trees and losing spoons not give it away? :-) I know I've lost a few and figured out "Oh, that was a brush pile". That was before I upgraded though. Here is the thread I referenced above. If anyone has not visited it, you should. Lots of info/discussion and videos too.
  21. I'll be the only guy at the Polar Bear tournament then shouting like Mike Iconeli yelling "SIX POUNDER!!! GAME CHANGER!!!" When I land a 6lb walleye. During the tournament. Lmao!!!
  22. Yeah. I used to catch them all the time when bass fishing only. Used to make me so mad. Now I target the rascals and now it's a struggle to find them. Seems I need to go back to bass fishing and catch them that way again. This time they go in the livewell. Lol!
  23. Should have posted this in the General Forum under the sticky thread. Then post a link back here.
  24. Well we didn't until you said it....... Watch we Will have up to 8-12" of ice again this year on Beaver. Had at least 6" last January in some coves.
  25. Lol!!!! Well you got me there. :-) It's rare for the entire water column to freeze though. Even in Minnesota it's never more than a couple of feet.
